I mean come on, do me a lemon! I mean sure, when life gives you a lemon, you have to make some lemonade, but I really feel we've been handed a lemon here. I guess the only thing to do is suck a lemon...Sorry, I thought about it some more, and it just makes me mad. I've seen - and reported - guys sporting the names of famous dictators and terrorists, and was told "no actions were taken". Yours is just whimsical. I also strongly suspect there's an hallucinating AI in there. We've truly entered the age of dumb.

Agreed, I definitely think its an Auto flag by aw poorly implemented AI, especially given I already appealed it and they human that reviewed it didn't see anything inappropriate with my username. It's kinda insane, we play an M rated game where you put bullets into the enemy players but this is what gets a suspension? Not the people yelling slurs in chat or with those messed up usernames you mentioned....I really appreciate your levity in your reply tho, got a good chuckle out of me with that first paragraph.

Imagine getting banned for a name like that in an M-rated 17+ game. What a wonderful time to be alive, truly.Let's just hope the name moderation doesn't eventually get as ridiculous as Ubisoft's, where you can apparently get flagged simply for having a word like "Acid" in your username.

EA_mplsnow No worries, I mostly made this post to scream into the void my frustrations, I appreciate it enough that there are people on here that were willing to listen and take time out of their days to reply. I really don't bear any ill will to any of the humans working for EA, just getting so tired of the constant AI dystopia that the world is rapidly becoming. I just want to log on and shoot people in BF6 but can't risk playing until my ticket is resolved for fear of a further ban TT^TT

Yeah that’s why I think it’s AI, and it’s going to become a bigger problem in the future. It’s like the other example provided below, Acid: it can refer to drugs; it’s hasn’t in decades, I don’t think anyone would ever use it in that sense today, but just because it can, AI will flag it.It’s a very bad system, you need human review for these things, but hey, it’s EA, they’re 20 billion in debt, they’re not gonna spend money on this.

when you can get banned for nothing and have no avenue for actual support by the publisher it makes it very hard to want to continue supporting such practices
Yeah, I really have a problem with this. Being able to report chats, actions and even egregious nicknames is a good thing. But clearly they automated the process as much as possible to make as cheap as possible. I see too many people getting caught in the crossfire. And this example is ludicrous: it should take a human being 2 minutes to see there is no issue with the handle and repeal the ban. Heck, it shouldn’t take them much more time than copy/pasting that inane response.
There’s a complete lack of respect for customers I have found unsettling with this game. It goes beyond “big corpo does not care”, almost as if the live service and the accompanying customer service were barely an afterthought and who cares how many players get sick of it.

Can't make this up.

I resubmitted the ticket to appeal a filtering decision just asking once again for an actual review of some cases and got a completely different response, this time they are taking action and reviewing.

I have no idea what prompted the alternate response other than I provided significantly less detail in my report only asking for a manual review of the tickets I already have in.

Funnily enough I think this is still just a copy pasted response, as its pretty silly that they can not inform me of any actions given that its about my own account!!!!!!

I think I'm at the point that I will no longer be buying or supporting any EA products going forwards. I feel for the dev teams and the people who make these games great but when you can get banned for nothing and have no avenue for actual support by the publisher it makes it very hard to want to continue supporting such practices.

LewdLemons I'm sorry to say, but we don't have the tools or channel to escalate or create an appeal on your behalf here on the forums. Appeals are handled by the Terms of Service team, and we have no insight into or influence over that process, unfortunately.
