Let me start with this: 100% there are cheaters, and there are plenty of them. Whether it’s anti-recoil scripts, external devices like the Cronus, or software cheats, they are out there and there are lots of them.
Here’s the caveat: the netcode, servers, aim assist, and nerfs handed to controller/consoles are awful, awful, awful, awful. I can get destroyed on one server, leave, join another and clean house, all because lag and other advantages that favor laggy players and “controller” users. The benefits handed to console/controller users are every bit as good as a cheat. It completely imbalances and wrecks gameplay. I’ve had to leave games because a couple players are cheating or handed ridiculous advantages by aim assist or netcode. Literally making the game unplayable for everyone else.
I came in here to say this. its impossible to tell who's cheating and who's just subject to bad hit detection. this game has the worst hit detection/net code/server rate/ect. of any game I've ever played.
however I kinda feel like its on us. we keep buying the same crap, over and over, hoping it will be different this time, and nope. same trash.
