I did it in Breakthrough, but didn't use the mortar. I just hung back slightly from where lots of my teammates were, and threw smokes towards nearby enemies. I can't remember exactly, but I think it might also count if you chuck a smoke near someone who is being revived. It'll probably be harder to do in Gauntlet but you might be able to adapt it.
The vehicle repairs one I just did naturally during matches. I guess you would need to wait for that vehicle mode in Gauntlet or hope people shoot at a vehicle you're the passenger in for RedSec.
I'm not 100% sure about what counts as an objective when it comes to the tracking in Gauntlet, unfortunately. Hopefully someone who plays it regularly can answer that one.

ok so the vehicle one, theres vehicles on all the maps, and one of the modes is just tank battle. Does someone else need to be driving the vehicle? does it need to be damaged by enemies? cuz i repair as much as i can when im engineer...and that needle does not move.

I memory serves there needs to be someone else driving it or at least still registering as a team vehicle. If you have a friend you can play with, you could try it with them driving and see if you repairing counts on the tracker.

The easiest way to repair friendly vehicles with the Repair Tool is usually to stay behind a tank or transport and repair it while someone else operates it. Keep near tanks or transport helis and use the Repair Tool when they take damage, and players state that they had success describing “sit behind a tank” or having “a good tank driver/gunner” while you repair. That seems to be the consensus on that challenge.
