LISTENING TO STREAMERS, YOU LOST BASE PLAYERS, WHAT DO YOU HAVE LEFT NOW?

I don't understand why they want to compete with cod or valorant or fortnite. If you compete on the same field, you can easily lose your players to those other options. I understand that they might want to take some of those players from those other options, but I don't know if it is working out that way. It is risky. Why try to win a battle that never needed to be fought?

I think they should end the approach of pretending to be a different game and go back to the BF roots for the unique BF experience people were hoping for.  Isn't that what we were sold? Isn't that what we bought? Why are they trying to sell us gauntlet and redsec and streamer movement and weapons? They should never rely on that playerbase to not switch back to the other same game.

It may be too late to get back the BF players who left. They may be stuck with their decision.

I agree. They clearly do not care about Battlefield veterans or PC players. Their focus was on console-focused Call of Duty player, people more likely to spend money on low value cosmetic content for quick dopamine hits.

This game will fade quickly. Call of Duty will rebound, and those players will return to it because it simply does small, fast-paced run-and-gun maps better.

I expected nothing different from a team made up of former CoD developers. At this point, I would not be disappointed to see Battlefield follow the same fate as Command & Conquer and Mass Effect.

I am far more interested in Arma 4 and Bellum. Frankly, I would rather play Battlefield 2042 than this, if only because it at least offered larger scale maps.

they will be left with the saem result as CoD. An empty game ..no loyal player base..just cheaters.

I nromally play only CoD or BF...but I am looking for a new game already. BF became boring quickly...especially with the cheats

This game wont survive 3 seasons.
This small maps
Maps without vehicules
maps without jet and helicopters
again, small maps and stupid maps

After season 3 the player base will be reduced to nothing

The maps are only part of the problem... when you know you need to fix the hitreg and netcode, but instead you nerf the jump and slide... it just means you're minding your own business and not listening to anything that's being said. If you include cod streamers in the launch trailer, many of whom have laughed at Battlefield until now... it just means you don't give a **bleep** about the franchise. I'm old now, I've lost the desire to play, I don't have fun anymore... I used to use my brain, I received and gave help to my teammates, now it's a desert of kids living for KD. The least important thing about BF is what distinguished BF from other shooter games. I wish everyone Happy Holidays and I hope BF dies peacefully, and thank you for all the hours you entertained me and my friends as a kid.

Your in the minority but respect your opinion

Im torn between both side of this. While I admit that as a boomer I miss the core style of gameplay that the older titles brought and it does cause me to only play a few different game modes, but on the other hand as a share holder for EA I am pleased with the direction as it appeals to a new generation of players who will be a steady source of income for EA and Dice and thus make their stock go up. The writing has been on the wall since BF3 with the unlock packs that the future is with micro-transactions. Now we have battle pass, a store, and the pro program. REDSEC which I personally do not play battle royale as I just suck at it and cant hit a shot to save my life even with the perfect meta build. COD, Fortnite, etc. They all do the same thing and Battlefield has joined them. We need quick matches with that instant hit of dopamine otherwise our biggest demographic will just move on to something else. At least for the moment there are players to keep the franchise alive and give us a shot at Battlefield 7 which will 100% be the same thing just in a different setting. The only way it will ever return to its roots is if an indie company decides to take a risk and create a spiritual successor to BF1942, BFV, BC1-2, Etc.  Otherwise this is what we have to deal with. At least we have the choice to play or not.

The Neu DICE wild never create anything as great and as epic as BF1 because the “Neu DICE” are all about chasing trends and wanting to be COD instead of setting the bar and blazing a trail of their own like the old DICE once did. 🤣🤣🤣😝

The hubris of the new DICE is destroying the brand and franchise. 

Except bf skins are not going to generate the sort of income cod/fortnite skins do. 
As for appealing to a new generation of player? Not convinced.  From the numbers we have access to (Steam) the player numbers have already nose dived as cod players go back to cod, some bf players realise this is just codlight and the people with net code issues give up (I am very close to this - game is so often unplayable. Gutted) 

BF has always had a solid player base.  Why they continue to chase cod is baffling.
