Just a note about the point 6, as I just discovered (I noticed it in the game earlier and then forgot about it) - you can set what character is displayed on the profile in the loadout edit. The "trick" is that you need to select a loadout profile on the left, otherwise a hint for the key/button press won't appear and even when pressed ("I" key on PC) it appears like to does nothing, but it truly sets the character with the loadout as a profile character. I guess this option should just be made more obvious then.
