Please, Don’t Kill the PORTAL
I think one of the best ideas you’ve ever had was the implementation of the PORTAL.
The Battlefield 6 Portal is absolutely fantastic, the idea of creating my own experiences, inviting friends, and spending hours having fun is incredible.
However, after launch, some players started creating bot-only servers just to farm XP and unlock everything quickly. To fix that, you decided to remove XP entirely from all Portal experiences, and that was a huge mistake.
I believe the right solution would be to remove XP only from matches that are full of bots, since those are clearly made just for XP farming. If an experience has no bots, there should be no XP restriction at all.
Yesterday, I played an amazing Portal experience, a REDSEC map with intense, fast-paced combat.
I played for 4 hours because it was so much fun, but since there’s an XP restriction, I didn’t unlock any attachments for my weapons. Many players in the chat were saying things like:
“It’s a shame there’s no XP on this amazing map.”
After 4 hours of playing, I earned absolutely nothing just because it was a Portal experience.
If this continues, you’re going to kill the Portal mode.
Also, many players love staying in the same match for as long as possible.
So, if an experience doesn’t use bots but the creator increases the ticket count or the match duration, that shouldn’t affect XP either.
Here’s a fair and simple solution:
WITH BOTS → LIMITED XP
WITHOUT BOTS → FULL XP
That way, people can create their own experiences, invite friends, and have great matches while still earning full XP, leveling up their weapons and soldier as normal.
Please don’t kill the Portal, it’s one of the best things Battlefield has ever offered.
