No, they should remove bots from all online modes and add a solo/coop with everything unlocked so you can play vs bots stress free and just chill.

The XP farms and all that weird stuff they create on the portal should only be there. The server browser should be exclusively for game modes with official rules or some custom variant. But leaving the portal. 

I understand they will make it easier to unlock weapon attachments in a future update. 

I don't think removing bots is the answer - they can be fun for those that want an easier experience and tbh they make the experience of seeding a verified portal server a little less boring. That being said I don't think people should be farming bots for XP

Progression needs to be fixed so people don't need to grind to get through insane XP/challenge requirements for unlocks. But people also need to temper expectations for how quick things will be unlocked. You don't "need" every weapon/attachment/skin unlocked to be good, you need practice.

Bots should have 0 impact on stats too, I hate when a server half fills up with bots, I literally just leave now if that happens.

People don't want to practice and improve anymore, they want everybody else to be dragged down to them.

Instant gratification is a terrible thing, why the rush?

I still want unlocks to chase in a years time, these people will unlock everything, get bored and stop playing and run to the next game to consume.

I have still got unlocks in bf3 that I never got and thats fine.

Yes, I agree with this 100%. I just feel like it shouldn't count toward your stats, that's about it.

I mean, I could grind the weapon attachments out, but I average around 30-40 kills a game and the only thing I want is a suppressor. It's taking hours. I just want to get my attachments and pop off. There are some guns that need good attachments to be usable, and they're so trash to use compared to others without them.

I don't care about my career level. The max is level 52, and I don't even know what you unlock after that. I'm level 54 now, and I'm done with the game unless they add more rank unlocks and skins. I just want to get my attachments faster that is it.

You should get zero xp vs bots, it's unfair that you even get a single xp point.

Couldn't agree anymore man, I literally can't play normal multiplayer matches without dealing with packet loss and latency issues to where me and everyone is studdering and I feel like I'm moving slower and laggy so I'm able to play a solo match against bots with full XP granted if I can get in a match tho and play the game normally. For them nerfing weapon XP to 10 is baffling to me. I hope they revert it back and just take down the XP farm servers that's the issue not the people just wanting to play a normal match against bots. Besides that's the only way I can play the game smoothly. I even contacted EA customer service about it and spoke to an EA agent and I was very respectful to them but they seemed like they didn't care to listen to reason and literally just told me (thank you for the suggestion I will bring this up to the rest of the team! But some of that is not in our control.) before I was able to respond then they immediately closed the chat 🤔 weird and sneaky imo all and all I don't know how to take it are they actually going to let the rest of the team know about it or just choose the ignore route and do what they think is best for there game that we their consumers all bought. Maybe they will update and revert it back or maybe not, not trying to sound petty but I'll just go play something else until I see something changed if not well its been fun while it lasted. Sucks because I absolutely love battlefield and this game...

Idk, I 100% unlocked and trophy completed battlefield 4 then proceeded to play another 1000 hours since then

So, they gave us an option to play against bots and progress. Certain people bought the game because it was sold as full progression, playing against bots, and one server per player.
I  know disabled people who only play against bots, as PVP is just fast and frantic for them.
Now they have had their progression taken away from them, only weeks into release.

People saying ban bots, or gimp the XP... why?
Its not actually affecting their games.... other than the servers are full message. Which, to be fair is ALL on EA.  They promised a server per player... and that certainly hasnt happened.
People farming XP, rewards, unlocks, and so on... does NOT affect PVP gameplay. 

not a single lobby in the server list was full XP today, half and half Player Bot was what bought BF for!

If they don't force me to grind an extra ten to twenty hours just to arrive at the play experience I wanted then how can they go to the shareholders with words like "engagement" and ask for a raise?

Just because they literally had this same issue in BF2042 doesn't mean they knew this was going to happen again when they not only re-created the exact same grind issue but ten times worse.

We paid for the **bleep** game — even after 2042 took three years to become playable. The sweats who drop 40 kills a match might be bitter about bot XP, but they’re still going to dominate in PvP, so it doesn’t matter.

Players who work, have families, or are just average — like myself — finishing in the middle of the scoreboard are the ones being punished. The XP gap doesn’t close; it widens. We paid for the game so we could enjoy unlocking the guns and attachments we want, not to be locked behind the grind because our mom’s basement doesn’t have a polished floor. EA isn’t leveling the playing field — you’re turning it into an elitist arena.

My friends and I had so much fun grinding attachments in bot lobbies, then jumping into formal PvP once we were ready. That balance made the game accessible and enjoyable. Now that’s gone. Instead, we’ll log in, get shredded by veterans, and watch newer players get discouraged and quit altogether.

Exactly. The FPS gods will keep slaying — but the average player just wants to have fun. No one’s getting a date because they dropped 50 kills in BF6. Let us grind attachments and progression the way we want. Don’t punish regular players because EA can’t de-provision a server when the last player logs out.

While the elitist trophy hunters are busy pinching their mammillae over this nerf, you’re segregating a huge part of the community — as seen by the high number of active bot servers — and turning us into fodder for lifeless stat-chasers chasing meaningless glory.

Fix your server provisioning. Remove the misleading “persistent” language, because it never was. And most importantly, let players enjoy the game their way. People used bot lobbies because that’s how they wanted to play your game. Don’t pull a Destiny or The Division and dictate the experience — let us appreciate it in the way that keeps us coming back.

Ree, because like 3 people care about their K/D, which they could of just made it so bot kills don't add to it but instead they just straight up make portal useless now. Enjoy the player drop off I guess

I'm straight up done with the game if it's not reversed. I didn't spend 100$ to play sweat lobbies non stop. 

I dont understand - what's unfair about it? I think it's unfair that peeps/kids with no other obligations in life are able to play for 10 hours a day and I get mayhap 10 hours a week...therefore I have to try to compete without the weapon attachments that even the playing field just a bit...take away career advancement and bots impacting k/d ratio and I'd be fine with it...

This is why we can't have nice things, like the old crazy counterstrike servers. Because of this.

One of the reasons i bought this game was because of their portal advertisment, being able to play gamemodes in Coop, PvPvE with bots backfill, with normal progression. That was a lie, so it seems.
Instead of just nerfing True Bot XP Farms, who use custom logic, they just ruin everything (classic EA lol)

Yes, verified modes should give "okay" xp for career and weapon/vehicles.

It is fine when it's lower, but now it gives zero progression, what a joke.

They advertised the game with that and now they do this **bleep** move again.

There's also people like me and my friend who literally can't play official servers due to packet loss making us lag so bad so our only option to even progress is my verified portal server now we can't even play the game we spent a hundred bucks on and steam wont issue refund now hell most of my 20hrs played was just trying to get into the portal server to play 

Removing experience points from the Portal mode is a false advertising practice. Immediately restore the full experience points in the Portal mode as promoted in your advertisements. This is yet another scam reminiscent of 2042. All PvE players are advised to request refunds and leave negative reviews on Steam if possible. BF6 = 2042.

Don't forget about those of us who HAVE to play bot servers because of the 100% CPU issue. This was like a middle finger to us. Lmao

Not to mention how absurdly far away some unlocks are. I grind bots when friends aren't online, when they log on, we play against people. That easy. Now 50% of my reason to play is gone.

Hope they enjoy watching the player count drop...

you tell me how that's unfair? If they can kill bots so, can you. You get the same amount of XP........
