VeteranOF3 I completely agree with you. The maps in 6 just haven’t hooked me the same way the Battlefield 3 maps did. In BF3, no matter which map it was, I always had fun playing on it. The design of those maps just worked so well for the gameplay.
Right now, the only map in BF6 that I really enjoy is Siege of Cairo. The others are okay, but none of them really give me that same feeling that the BF3 maps did.
As someone who mainly plays Rush, I also find it a bit disappointing that the mode doesn’t seem to get much attention. It’s a fantastic mode and one of the things that made Battlefield so memorable for me.
And honestly, I really miss the 24/7 servers dedicated to a single map. Back then it was so easy to jump into a server running your favorite map all day long. It feels like that kind of experience is much less accessible now, which is a shame.
Hopefully we’ll see some BF3 maps return in future seasons. I think that would bring back a lot of great memories and keep players engaged.

Normally I’d agree. While I don’t hate all the maps in 6 (though a few are definitely poorly designed), none of them are as iconic as the classics in 3. My favorite map in 6 is probably Siege of Cairo but even then, if they offered to swap it for Grand Bazaar, I’d take that deal in a heartbeat.
Given that we’re only getting two maps per season, the current pace doesn't feel sustainable. They either need to increase the volume or drop a "banger" map that people are happy to play 24/7. Battlefield 3 had several of those Operation Metro, Caspian Border, and Kharg Island all had dedicated 24/7 communities.
While Operation Metro is great, it’s been overused being in 3, 4 and then again as Operation Underground in 5. Personally, I think Caspian Border is a bit overrated. That makes Kharg Island the obvious choice for a well-designed, large-scale map that can hold people's attention (especially since the assets theoretically already exist). Honestly, Kharg should have been the pick over Operation Firestorm, considering they’re set in the same region.
I hope you're right, I think the main thing I want to avoid is map burn out. I just figured they have a path to provide that. I also just hope, as I said above, that they just have a banger map they are about to drop since for me most of the map design has been ok at best.

Ronincfc All of the maps listed are set in the same country, so is Operation Firestorm. I partly suggested them for that reason lol but at the same time I genuinely would love to see even 1 of those maps end up in 6. Tehran Highway was actually not a "loved" map during 3 but I've always considered it underrated, it's main problem was the overpass camp, when there was no legitimate way to get up there. That said, that and Grand Bazaar were great Rush maps and Rush desperately needs better maps. Tehran Highway, Grand Bazaar and Damavand Peak would go a long way for that game mode.

What would be awesome is if EA/DICE got some SAT photos of what Kharg island looks like right this second and updated the map to reflect the damage it has. Would be nice...

It's a great dream, but it will never happen. There is no will to do this... I suspect they don't have the people any more, because it would have been a no brainer, yet here we are getting 1 small-medium flat map.
BF6 rollout is following the exact same path as BF2042.

JennyB_010 I completely agree with you. There definitely should have been more maps and content released more frequently, because the lack of variety can make the game feel repetitive after a while.
However, I think a lot of people tend to blame the developers directly, and in my opinion that’s not entirely fair. The devs usually have to work within the directives, priorities, and resources they’re given. Decisions about content, season pacing, and budgets are often made at a higher level.
I do believe they are listening to the community, but these things take time. Ideas have to be reviewed, approved, and then developed. Hopefully we’ll see more maps and content coming in the next seasons.

QcR4ptor I understand your points, however the main issue for me is the sheer lack of content. Especially maps.
The game is becoming incredibly boring because of the lack of variation. If for example you like playing casual breakthrough, it's the same boring few maps in the same rotation all the time.
They are putting players off the map literally by boring them to death.
The other REAL BF games had lots more maps, and this is exactly what this game is missing, and I don't think people realised that the seasons would be "Drip fed" to us this slowly either.

Eh Tehran Highway I very much doubt that 1 would happen, in the current climate it would be a very bad idea lol

VeteranOF3 I think bringing back some maps from older Battlefield games, especially from BF3, would actually be a great idea. BF3 had a lot of very good maps and most of them were well balanced and worked well with Battlefield’s gameplay.
I do think there is a chance we could see some remastered maps in future seasons. However, in my opinion it will probably be more likely around Season 4 or 5. The first few seasons were most likely already planned or even partially developed before the game released.
That could also explain why we haven’t seen much of what the community is asking for yet. I do believe Battlefield Studios are listening to player feedback, but things don’t happen overnight. Ideas have to be analyzed, decisions have to be made, and development takes time.
They probably didn’t expect the demand for remastered maps to be this strong, and some content for the early seasons may already have been in production before launch. It wouldn’t really make sense to scrap everything and start over.
So I think it will come eventually, but we need to be patient. After the first year we’ll probably have a much clearer idea of the direction and identity BF6 is going to take.

With the current layoffs by there is absolutely no chance we are going to get any great content moving forward.
