Do you find berating people is a good way to communicate your ideas? I doubt you talk to people in the real world this way.
social media is an open-air cesspool. i've been online since 1993 (at the time bbs's were all the rage; later newsgroups and mailing lists) — and it's getting worse year on year. people freely unleash their inner monsters online. in a way that would be/is curbed irl.
i login here once every blue moon and soon get reminded why i don't do it more often. it's an emotional jungle: it is nigh on impossible to have a rational exchange online, whether it be on forums or media apps (reddit, discord, x, ...)
Yeah. been around since BBSes myself.
Really makes me want to buy a cabin in the woods and just stop interacting with humans at all.
