Suppressor are betrayed by tracer rounds

Did the design or build team got lazy and use the same code to implement automatic fire?  It is pointless to equip a suppressor as the enemy players can easily trace the source of the tracer rounds.  Are we suppose to shoot 2 rounds at the enemy, fire the tracer round into the ground and repeat the process?

The suppressor is at least a tier 20+ to unlock and is meant to be a stealth play style.  The tracer rounds does not align to this gameplay but is self wounding. It is frustrating to spend the effort to unlock the attachment and to become useless the moment the tracer round is fired.

Tracer rounds should be removed if a suppressor is equipped or be an option that a player can activate. If a player want tracer rounds then it should be at their disposal and not a handicap for stealth gameplay.

  • Good point.

It's almost like EA/DICE don't think these things through when they design them or don't actually play the game themselves...
