The outcry about boosting is a Red Herring

Honestly... If i go to portal and boost, what do I get for it? I get weapon unlocks and more equipment.

I can tell you from personal experience - getting those unlocks DOESN'T translate into you dominating in MP. It just doesn't. You have to be good at the game with or without the equipment.

All this garbage about people boosting is a red herring. It is a non-issue that people are making an issue. People are just upset that they got killed by someone better than them. So they have a thermal scope... that thermal has weaknesses. Cheif among the ADS time.

If you spend all your time boosting - you still arnen't going to take down the people that are good at this game. No matter what equipment you take in.

People just need to get over it.

Bring back Portal and let people do whatever they want with it.

Let us have full XP from Portal. It enables people who have had the game since launch and have only had the time to put in 50 hours... have the same stuff as those guys who have logged over 200 since launch.

Then why are you wanting to boost in portal if it doesn't give you better equipment to use against others?

I agree with you I don't see the big issue here as it let people play the way they want, I personally like leveling up my weapons in a normal match, but I am a terrible pilot so I would like to level up my helicopters and jets in portal so I could get the unlocks for those without having to take away from a team online where I would just crash or get shot down by someone better then me.

I have a lot of time to play after I get home from work, but I wouldn't mind letting those that don't have much time to game have a chance at catching up on attachments if they choose to do it through portal.

As you mentioned having unlocked everything doesn't make you better at the game and you can easily kill people with the default weapon/attachments if you know what you're doing.

I understand the part where it fill up their servers with bot farming lobbies is a problem, but why not let those that want to go through farming that way host locally and still level up their stuff if they choose to. That would solve the limited servers we can host online wouldn't it? And it would let those creative people host their custom modes online without worrying about bot farms filling up the server list.
