Every time I try to find a proper game it’s just XP farms, grind servers, hardcore or empty lobbies with bots. The few real ones that exist are buried ten pages down and when you finally find one, it’s gone the next day because server seeding or filling isn’t consistent. You can’t add other admins to help manage it, can’t switch teams to balance, and can’t keep it running long term. It’s built for quick, temporary stuff, not proper serious servers people can return to.
Matchmaking is no better. You play one good round with more than 4 people, and the next game everyone is split up into new servers. You can’t return to the same match or build any kind of consistency. Half the time someone ends up stuck in queue or kicked into a new session while the rest of us in the party are in a different server. It completely breaks any momentum.
Older Battlefields had it figured out. You could rent a server, set it up the way you wanted, and it would stay there. People learned which servers were good and kept coming back. That’s how the game stayed alive for years. Now it feels like everything is temporary and random. You can’t rely on anything staying. It’s honestly exhausting trying to just find a normal server that works and you can return to long term.
I am almost done with the game. Playing with mates is a hassle, and I am not alone in sharing this sentiment.
Would really appreciate an official stance on this. Is the topic of persistent or community servers completely off the table, or is feedback like this still being reviewed?
