The game uses daily and weekly missions to encourage kills.
I've got a bunch that follow the "Win x games of a mode/class you don't want to play", but the rest are "Get x kills with a gun you don't want to use".
There's not much encouragement to play the objectives, or to play the mode you enjoy with the load-out you enjoy.
