Why Dismiss Sexual Chat Harassment?

all reports are handled by AI. voice chat on pc is not recorded or converted to text. also there is no way of disproving any allegation .

I miss the good old times, when the world wasn't full of sensitive people that feel offended by absolutely everything. And no you can't compare it to anything real life related, because it's nonsense, if you are not face to face with each other. It's probably juvenile twelve year olds that think about sex all day or other weirdos. You can't fix that with lots of censorship or reporting etc. they will always exist. It's a lost battle and a huge waste of time, if you simply can mute/block/ignore them somehow.

If you feel triggered or harrassed by all that, that is also a problem from your side, because they like to troll especially ppl like you who feel offended. You are the one that makes it an actual problem, they think they just fool around. But you take it seriously and feel offended. So what you fight against only exists because you pay so much attention to it and feel triggered by it.

This is one of these things that you can really stop with just pushing a button like I said, if you don't want to push the button, it's your own choice then, because you CHOOSE to be harrassed, alltough you have the option to stop it.

If I notice annoying ppl I usually just turn off chat and that's it and if their gameplay itself is annoying me too, well then I leave the server.

I get muting/blocking is an option (and I did that) but the point is EA's Positive Play Charter and User Agreement Section 6 explicitly ban harassing, abusive, sexually explicit content in chat, no exceptions for 'it's just a game'. If they make the rules, they should enforce them, not leave it to players to self-moderate. Real-world sexual harassment doesn't get dismissed with 'just walk away', and neither should in game equivalents. Dismissing it like this is why the community feels unsafe for some players.

This isn't just about the points I make; it's about the hypocrisy and potential limits that a user can hit due to biased decision-making. If moderation depends on 'mood' or backlog, then it's random and unfair, NOT real enforcement. If I emailed EA support, posted this on their forums about moderation, or said the same words directly to an EA employee/moderator, I'd likely be banned or sanctioned instantly for 'abusive/harassing' content (as per their own rules on forums and User Agreement). Yet players are supposed to accept this kind of sexual degradation from the in-game chat? Why should users tolerate behaviour that EA itself won't accept when directed at them?

EA's Positive Play Charter (the main document outlining their community guidelines), repeatedly emphasizes creating a positive, fun, fair and safe gaming environment for all players. It is their Slogan.

This isn't isolated - it's systemic inconsistency. EA prioritizes easy AI wins (slurs, cheats) for PR/transparency stats, but manual reviews for nuanced harassment (my case) are under-resourced, slow, or lenient.

It's a game whenever you feel like it you can turn off the chat box with a single push of a button "H" and you can also mute all voices. Nobody is forced to be "harrassed" as people call it here. We play a videogame, you people don't meet on the streets or something, if something annoys you, you can just mute and block the person that annoys you.

So long story short-anything cheating related is reviewed and actioned by AI, anything apart from that is reviewed by a person eventually and my understanding is that as soon as you do the report for harassment it automatically takes a snap shot at that point then goes through a process and ends up in the hands of a person to tick or flick....all voice chats are converted to text for that session and text chats are logged as well. 

I would assume that depending who reviews it either dont give a **** like if it ends up in india for review for example.

Yeah, spot on. If moderation literally depends on 'whoever's mood' that day, then it's not real enforcement; it's random, biased and completely unfair.

Slurs get hammered instantly with 1-week (or permanent) bans because they're auto-flagged, but targeted sexual degradation <removed>? Straight 'no action taken', even though it violates Section 6 of the User Agreement and the Positive Play Charter (abusive/harassing/sexually explicit content). There is no doubt in what I say. I have read it multiple times.

This selectiveness makes the whole 'positive play' promise feel like total lip service. Players shouldn't have to roll the dice on whether harassment gets ignored due to backlog, mood, or whatever. The rules exist for a reason. Enforce them equally across the board, or admit the system's broken. Which then in turn warrants investigation within the company. It's 2026. There are rules that need to be followed, as we know very well. Multiple companies as big as EA adhere to such benchmarks. What message does this send to female players? That they are not safe within the game as males can easily ridicule them without any repercussion? I genuinely ask.

If an EA mod finds this acceptable, well, I do not. I respect women and there is no excuse for such behaviour within the community. Find better insults. Ones targeting me, or my comments. Do not degrade the opposite Sex, especially someone's family when you do not even know them or have any tangency with said persons.

Furthermore, if I said anything like that at work, on the street, or to a woman in real life, I'd be facing serious consequences. Sanctions, firing, or worse, because it's textbook sexual harassment. EA claims to protect players (including women) from this stuff, so why the massive double standard? Rules need strict, consistent application, not loose interpretation depending on the moderator's perception.
