I don't think going back to everyone running half of the graphic setting on lowest is the answer, that should never be acceptable from a dev.

No, read more carefully. Everyone should have the option to change their settings for themselves, not others. A lot of games give the option to turn dynamic shadows, lighting, vegetation, etc. off or set between options from low to high. Pretty basic stuff these days.
When turning them down gives an advantage then yes everybody will do it.
So don’t give the option to tune it down and stay at a disadvantage? You can change lots of things to gain an “advantage”. Color blind modes, etc. Options are nice.
Would that not be an unfair advantage to the people that turn vegetarian and lighting off this is a war simulator thats part of war is camouflage ambushes and hiding. You just want to know were every enemy is? I agree that sometimes I have a hard time seeing some people, but iv never just laid down in the open and not been seen.
I do not just want to know where every enemy is that's why I said "on a certain distance" and as I said for the people that like the game the way it is they create a mode for them called "hardcore"
Many time you do not see the enemy standing in front of you! I even tried it myself earlier on a point I lay down and 3 enemies passed by without noticing me
The enemy gadgets are supposed to be hard to find yet a huge icon appears on them when you are "on a certain distance" from them but the enemies don't have any icons on them!
