After updating, the game crashes to the desktop on some maps.

Hello. After today's update (18.11.2025), I am having problems with BF6.

The game shuts down and throws me back to the desktop when it tries to load the maps: Blackwell Fields, Eastwood, Siege of Cairo. Even the loading screen with the map image does not appear. The game just shuts down. Everything works fine on other maps.

Everything was fine before the update. The Siege of Cairo map worked normally. After the update, there is a problem.

I have the game on the EA App.

Nope didn't solve it for me, and many others on that post. but the an EA community manager is collecting dump files data from players which I respect.

  • Yep, since update this happens frequently for me.  DirectX NVIDIA crashes (Device Removed/Device Hung) as soon as I either start matchmaking with official server... or if I'm playing a portal server as soon as I get connected/fully loaded to the server typically it crashes as soon as I hit the deploy screen.  I've tried many different suggestions from other people dealing with it... disabling overclocking on my PC, verifying file integrity multiple times... I even saw someone mention going into the BF6 folder and deleting any file related to Eastwood and then verifying files again to redownload those files.... it always works for a little bit and then a day or two later it will start again.  I've noticed it's almost always late in the evening when it occurs.  Only thing I haven't tried is complete reinstall since last update.  Yes all drivers are up to date and windows is up to date.

  • GUYS I'VE SOLVED THE ISSUE
    GO TO GAME DIRECTORY
    SEARCH FOR TOC
DELETE ALL TOC FILES THAT APPEAR FROM THAT SEARCH
REPAIR GAME FROM EA APP OR STEAM

    AND THAT'S IT

Uninstalling and reinstalling the whole game fixed the issue. Try that.

  • what worked for me is going to the game folder
search for "levels" and delete all the folders with levels
and then use EA game repair.
