Bought the NOMAD CX-12 skin(new melee weapon) but cannot use it.

Normally in guns/rifles when you buy a skin regardless if its locked you can use it right away but for this new melee weapon, its still locked and unusable. Can someone verify if this is a bug because even the UI right now is buggy.

As someone who missed out on a few events as I came to the game late. I've bought 90% of the bundles released. This may be a bug on their end or a oversight.
I bought the same bundle, sadly I cannot use the Nomad either.
I didn't see anything about this via the patch notes for season 2. I don't know why they would tie a weapon to a limited time path.
