Choosing where to spawn, PS5

When I'm going to respawn after death, I can point where I want to spawn, but then out of nowhere my pointer just flicks between my squad members and other spawn locations. Is this just me, or is this a known bug?

Really annoying when I'm gonna spawn on a squad member to help capture a point, and then I'm suddenly in a helicopter 😂
