Crashing During "Compiling Shaders"

Contacted EA, they are aware of the issue and are working on a fix. No eta on fix.

A couple of troubleshooting steps below. Please note this is not a 100% fix and you may need to go through this process a few times.

Run DISM

1. Press Start.
2. Type cmd.
3. Right-click Command Prompt and choose Run as administrator.
4. If prompted by User Account Control, click Yes.
5. Copy and paste the following command, then press Enter: DISM /Online /Cleanup-Image /RestoreHealth

      6. Wait for it to complete. This can take 10–30 minutes depending on the system. Do not close the window, even if it appears to pause.

Once DISM has finished:

1. In the same Administrator Command Prompt window, run: sfc /scannow
2. Wait until the scan reaches 100%.
