Error code 1:85009S

 i have received news to everyone suffering with this error codes out there.

EA DEV team said that they have been receiving similar reports from other players with this error code AND they said its a developing issue on there side and not our side. And they will be sending  a update to us soon on twitter. But again not sure if it’s true or not 

. it did not work for me, and as other people said, enabling vpn on a FPS is not the solution. Thanks for the idea tho.

they said that to me 6 days ago when I contacted them the 1st time😆

yeah, sorry friend, I also was exited when they said the same to me 1st time, but when I contacted them yesterday and said "oh, it's not fixed yet?" I noticed they are not even checking....OR, the dev tem has zero communication with the support team.

one you brought the game in your in your accout two sons DOB as u have to be 18 also u brought on your accout make sons xbox a family xbox also just ideas as not seen your issue

Still an issue October 16, 2025. How?

Any other traction on this?  I've tried everything:  No VPN, disabled IPv6, flushed DNS, Reinstalled the game, uninstalled other anticheat clients (FACEIT, ect.)  and still get this issue.  Im about 30 minutes away from a refund.

Will this ever be fixed or even noticed by EA

People with this bug have been unable to play at all since launch we feel scammed

EA help us or at least tell us u know about it.

I cannot play battlefield 6 for longer than 5 minutes without being disconnected with Error code 85009S.

Here's what I have tried:

• Enabling Secureboot and TPM 2.0
• flush DNS
• Setting google DNS server 8.8.8.8
• Not using VPN
• Tried allowing BF6 through Public and Private Firewalls
• Turning off my firewalls altogether
• Uninstalling and deleting all trace of other Kernel Anti-Cheats (Valorant, FACEIT, ect.)
• Running the Game as Administrator
• Uninstalling / Reinstalling the game
• Verifying Integrity of Game Files
• Release/Renew IP
• Disable IPv6
• Uninstalling all antivirus software

Yet none of the EA tickets I submit actually go anywhere, they just keep directing me to the same articles about issues with downloading the game (??)  They say to try contacting an EA Support Advisor but i cant for the love of all thats holy find a way to do that.

I am not going to keep trying to resolve this because Ive sunk too much time into it already not to mention the insane amount of changes ive made to my PC.  

If anyone has any further suggestions im all ears and if EA has any intention of fixing this let me know but for now im just gonna get a refund and chalk it up to the ineptitude / apathy of the devs.

If anyone else has this issue and cant get it resolved, remember to get your refund before spending 2 hours in-game.
