Game keeps crashing, but not everytime.

Well, not much more to say. I have tried the latest AMD driver and then the optional one after that both versions 26.9.1 and versions 26.9.2.
Leading up to season 5 is when it started.
I get the game closes and I end up back at windows, very smooth. No tearing of the screen or odd sounds.
Does not happen every time though. Maybe 1 out of three times I'll play a few games in a row and there is not game shut down no, back to windows.
Anyway any thoughts on this ? I may try rolling back to an even earlier driver. like two or three before the latest.

  • Fixed as far as I can tell. Used the Uninstall utility from the AMD driver website. Then installed an older driver.  Not sure whether the new drivers would work or not after using the "full," uninstall utility. I went back to an older driver version that had worked in the past. I'll probably update to the latest when a new one is released.  I would note AMD bundles Chipset drivers that are not the version on the official motherboard website. These drivers are set to install by default. I have had problems in the past when these "generic," AMD chipset drivers have been installed. (these I have also put back to the ones released by the same company that manufactures the Motherboard I use (or at least assembles it.)
Very 'old school,' and 'hobbyist,' to have to go through all that to get the computer to run smoothly in one game.
