Gas mask button does not work

I have the pc version of the game purchased through steam, just updated to season 2 played a few games of casual breakthrough this morning. first game was California and played without issues, second game was the new toxic map.  I  entered the toxic area for the first time was told to equip mask my holding the X key. held down the key only the normal function for that key worked.. in my case for assault it just triggered the adrenaline.   several other people in my squad were complaining of the same issues in the chat. 

Same here. It also not works on ps5, I think it’s a breakthrough issue for that map.

Can't wait for copilot to replace DICE developers ;P the quality will sky rocket.

Me too -- on PC it says press X for gas mask - doesn't give mask

Xbox, tried all buttons, looked in menus to see if I can find what button its meant to be or change it. 

My only options are dont go in gas or leave the mission.

I've not been able to try it yet, but the info I'm seeing is that on console it should be a case of holding up on the D-pad, versengeteriks​. I'll try to remember to confirm if I'm able to equip it on my Xbox when I can try it later tonight. 

Edit/update: Nope. Can't get it to work either. 

same with me on Pc and in a few matches others were saying the thing in the chat and also a others on consoles as well.
