Massive CPU Bottleneck on 13th Gen Intel after GPU upgrade
- 3 days ago
Ok, so I might have inavertedly fixed it. I clean installed Adrenalin 26.9.1, after passing AMD Cleanup Utility on the PC on Safe Mode, and tried to boot up the game, but I still had the same issues with frame rates. So I went on the BIOS, and removed the undervolt on my CPU while keeping all of the other settings, and deleted the Battlefield folder from %localappdata%, and in Adrenalin I reset the shaders at the same time and let them rebuild. Game no longer dips below 175 fps, even in busy moments, and my averages are at around 185-210 FPS. So, if any of you are having issues, try removing your undervolt or overclock if you have it. I am using the Intel Max Performance profile, too, so it's technically overclocked, but it's within Intel spec so it doesn't make the game behave weirdly. My GPU FPS did go down from around 260 in the same spot to 220, but my CPU FPS went up (on the same location that I was getting around 145 FPS I am now getting 182), so I'm happy with the results.
