Missing 2400 CP Skin after purchase – Horrible support experience

=

Hi everyone,

I am writing this post to share my extremely disappointing experience and to see if anyone else has faced the same issue with Battlefield on PC/Steam.

The Issue:

About a week ago, I purchased a skin for 2400 CP. I bought the necessary Battlefield Coins via Steam (1000 and 500 bundles, added to my existing balance). The transaction was successful and the game confirmed the purchase, but the skin never appeared in my inventory.

The Support Journey:

Steam: They told me to contact the publisher since the currency was delivered, but the in-game item was not.

EA Support (Email): I sent 3 emails. I received generic "wait 24 hours" replies, and most ridiculously, one agent told me I had to "earn" the skin (a paid item!).

Live Chat: I spoke with an agent, provided screenshots of my Steam receipts and my profile. They promised to escalate the case.

The Result:

A week has passed and nothing happened. Instead of a fix, I received an automated email saying they were "happy the issue was resolved" and closed my case. The issue is NOT resolved. I still do not have the skin I paid for.

Conclusion:

I have been a loyal player, buying Battle Passes and skins to support the devs, but this level of incompetence is shocking. In other games like PUBG, support fixes these issues within 24 hours and treats customers with respect. Here, I feel ignored. I will not be spending another cent on this game until this is fixed. Has anyone else been ignored like this by EA?

Thanks for your pity and "understanding," but it doesn't get me anywhere... I guess you wouldn't be happy either if you were the ones being robbed or cheated out of your money. Or maybe I’m wrong, and this is just becoming a corporate tradition for you, since I see countless similar complaints and nobody is doing anything; the scams just keep piling up. I’ve decided to wait until someone files a formal complaint or lawsuit against your company, and I will join them with all my evidence and bank statements. I'm not even going to bother writing here anymore because it’s completely pointless. It’s been 3 weeks, almost a month, and nothing has happened—and from what I’ve read, you haven't helped anyone else either. I don't think you ever will. If you actually wanted to help, you would have done so by now instead of making us wait this long. I hope the proper authorities will manage to change your attitude... since it's clear you don't care about your customers at all.

Thanks for replying. If what you are running into is the same thing being discussed in that bug report thread, I've already passed it along to the studio to take a look.

Your case should also have been escalated from the support side already, but unfortunately, we don't have any new updates from the studio to share just yet.

Regarding the email saying the issue was resolved, I think that may be part of the support team’s normal process. (I cannot say for certain since I have not worked on that team myself.) It may mean the ticket was closed after escalation, because that is the furthest they can take it on their end. The email itself may still be using a "resolved" template, even if the case is still being looked at elsewhere. That is not ideal, and I'll pass that feedback along

I am really sorry you have been waiting a week for this. I know that is frustrating. If you are willing, it would also be helpful to add your screenshots to the bug report thread so everything stays in one place.

Hi EA_LunardustCat, Thank you for looking into this. Yes, I can confirm that the item in question is indeed the Strix Raiders skin. As I mentioned, I purchased the required Battlefield Coins through Steam, the transaction was successful, and the game confirmed the purchase, but the skin never appeared in my inventory. I would appreciate it if you could help escalate this issue so the item can be manually added to my account, as the standard support channels have been unable to resolve this for over a week. Thank you for your assistance!

  • Sorry to hear that all the back-and-forth with support still has not resolved the issue for you. Support can make mistakes at times. They are human, and they handle many different titles, although that does not make the experience any less frustrating. If this is confirmed, we do have internal processes to learn from cases like this and help avoid the same issue happening again in future.

From your description, it sounds like you purchased BFC through Steam, then bought a bundle in-game, but did not receive or unlock the Strix Raiders skin. If so, this does sound similar to the situation described in this report. If you could confirm that, it would be appreciated.
