PC hard shutdowns/reboots 3–4 minutes into every match since Season 3 update
Description:
My PC does not crash to desktop. It performs a full hard shutdown/reboot (power cuts, system restarts) consistently 3–4 minutes after entering an active match, regardless of weapon loadout, map, or in-game configuration. No BSOD is recorded. Windows Event Viewer shows only Kernel-Power 41, confirming unexpected power loss rather than a software crash.
This did not occur at launch. The issue began around Season 3 and has progressively worsened. Before the Season 3 update, the game ran normally. After Season 3, sessions could last roughly one hour before a reboot. Following the 1.4.1.5 update, the situation deteriorated further: the PC now reboots at 3–4 minutes into any match with near-total consistency. It has also begun rebooting during shader compilation at game launch, before I even reach the main menu.

Troubleshooting Steps Already Attempted — All Failed:
Driver rollback: Clean-installed Game Ready 596.49 via DDU in Safe Mode. No change.
GPU power limit: Reduced to 98% via MSI Afterburner. No change.
Resolution reduction: Dropped from native 4K to 1440p. No change.
High-resolution texture pack: Fully uninstalled. No change.
DLSS: Completely disabled. No change.
Frame rate cap: Limited to 100 FPS. No change.
In-game quality: All settings set to performance/low. No change.
Shader cache: Manually cleared and allowed full recompilation. No change — reboots now occur during recompilation.
BIOS: Updated to latest available version. Intel Baseline Profile applied; all overclocking disabled (including XMP). No change.
Monitor observation: GPU utilization never exceeds ~70% and average load is 68% or lower at the moment of reboot. Other high-load titles (e.g., War Thunder) run under sustained full load without any shutdown.
Key Observations:
GPU load is not the trigger. Average GPU utilization is under 70% when the reboot occurs. Reducing resolution and quality settings — which lowers average GPU load — does not prevent the shutdown. This strongly suggests the issue involves transient power spikes rather than sustained high load.
The PC reboots, not the game. There is no game crash, no freeze, no error dialog. Power is cut instantly, identical to a PSU protection trip (OCP/OPP).
The failure pattern is tied to the game’s update timeline, not to a specific setting. No combination of in-game or driver settings has altered the time-to-reboot by more than a minute.
The RTX 50 series + BF6 issue may be broader than the officially acknowledged water-map / SOR-300SC crashes. My system reboots on all maps with all weapons, within a remarkably consistent window.
What I Am Requesting:
This is not a standard “game crash.” It is a system-level power event that appears to be triggered by BF6’s engine workload characteristics on RTX 50 series hardware. I have exhausted every consumer-side software mitigation short of replacing my PSU. A 750W ATX 3.1 unit is well within NVIDIA’s recommended range for the RTX 5070 Ti, and no other application — including synthetic stress tests — reproduces this behavior.
I am posting this so the engineering team can cross-reference it against other reports of Kernel-Power 41 reboots tied to BF6 on RTX 50 series + Z790 platforms.
Until the problem is completely resolved, neither I nor other players with similar issues will be able to play normally
