EA_Salmon We are NOT complaining about the remaining servers—those are running just fine. The actual problem is that SOME servers that SHOULD exist have COMPLETELY VANISHED. The HK servers are NOT RUNNING at all! Why are we suddenly being forced to play with 60+ ping on random Japanese or South Asian servers, or worse, suffering through a massive 200+ ping because the game randomly dumps us into US servers? This is completely unacceptable.

Hi EA_Salmon,
This problem began immediately after the penultimate update – the patch before the most recent one. Prior to that, I was consistently connected to the Hong Kong server with 2ms ping. Since that update, the HK server has completely disappeared from matchmaking. The game now places us into servers in Japan/Korea/Singapore (55ms at best) or far-flung locations in Europe and North America (180-200+ ms). The situation has not improved after the latest patch.
I have already followed the troubleshooting steps in the article you linked (basic connectivity checks, restarting router/PC, verifying game files, etc.). None of these resolved the issue because the problem is not with my connection – it’s that the Hong Kong server is no longer being used by the matchmaker. This is a server-side routing or matchmaking pool problem.
Every single Hong Kong-based player in my friends list is experiencing exactly the same thing. As you can see in this thread, players from South Africa and the Middle East are also reporting their local servers have been effectively removed. This isn’t an isolated case – it’s a regional server deactivation or severe matchmaking bug that makes the game nearly unplayable for us (imagine trying to play a fast-paced shooter at 200 ping).
We need transparency. Are the Hong Kong (and other affected regional) servers still operational? Has the matchmaking algorithm changed to intentionally exclude them? Are there plans to fix this, and if so, is there even a rough timeline? We love Battlefield 6, but at this latency it feels like the game doesn't want players from our region.
Please escalate this to the server/networking team. This is not an issue that can be solved on our end, and we’ve been patient for weeks.
Thank you.

Hi, at the moment, we haven’t seen any indication that the server status is normal. I’m sorry to hear that you have been affected by this. Would you mind sharing a few more details with us? For example, when did you first start noticing this issue? Also, have you tried the troubleshooting steps in the article I shared earlier?

It is almost unplayable for all players from Hong Kong, when would you fix the servers?

Hi there,
I’m sorry to hear that so many of you are affected by high latency. I understand how much this can impact your gameplay experience.
I’m not sure whether this article may help, but you’re welcome to try the steps and suggestions in the guide to see if they make any difference.
Thanks.
