Pinging issues

I've had an issue for weeks where I can place a ping on a building of the ground, but I'm unable to ping loadout drops, vehicles, airstrikes, plates, weapon kits, weapons, ammo, etc. The ping doesn't appear and my teammates can't see that I've pinged anything. Like I said, If I ping a building or put a marker on the ground, then it appears for my squad, but not being able to ping specific things makes coordination difficult.
