Community ManagerThis is 100% still overheating. Either clean the fan and heatsinks inside the console really well yourself or get this done professionally. Once really clean you should be good to go for a few months. Smoking in the room actually makes this worse as the dust/lint gets 'sticky'.
I have recently cleaned the console and its only happened with BF6, no other games are causing crash.
If this is 100% overheating then how do you explain the following;
● Not one other game on the same console crashes to dashboard or shuts down the console like this?.
● There was a huge thread with 17k views when i last left it with the same people experiencing these crashes. People who had even bought brand new out the box consoles to play the beta on. The problem is across Xbox, PS5 and PC. The match hangs for a few seconds with everything on the screen not moving then based on my Xbox Series X will go back to dashboard or will power the console down on rare occasions.
● During the beta i couldnt complete a single match, i crashed after about 5-7 minutes EVERY SINGLE GAME without fail, as did many others during the Beta. Yesterday i completed my first ever 3 matches before a dashboard crash.
● People have cleaned the console, replaced thermal paste and even purchased brand new ones so how this can be linked to overheating is beyond me.
● 2042 was absolutely fine for me aswell i might add, although ive heard of similar crashes for some people on that too.
There is an issue here that is not just overheating.
This is not overheating. it happened to my PS5 as well and IF the system does overheat it will give you a warning acknowledging that the system shut down to prevent further damage. That is not happening in these cases. The community would appreciate EA taking accountability rather than shifting the blame as this is a wide spread issue specifically only happening while playing this game.
I mean it sucks how the game didnt work on the ea app and had a fix within 6 hours yet everyone else has to wait almost 40 hours
It 100% is not over heating. This was an issue in the beta as well. No other game i have does this to my console. I can play an unstable game like helldivers 2 for hours without it crashing my console. I crash multiple times in one session on BF6. Again, this was a problem with the beta as well.
