Forum Discussion
Hi everyone,
Thanks for sharing your experiences and feedback so far. We understand this issue is especially frustrating when it impacts your ability to play smoothly with a mouse. While we’ve asked for similar information before (here), to move forward and make meaningful progress, it is absolutely essential that you provide detailed and precise information responding to the specific request below. Giving vague comments without concrete details won’t help us troubleshoot, escalate, or investigate effectively.
If you’re able to, please reply directly to this post by clicking the Reply button on this post. This keeps your info neatly organised and makes it much easier for us (and the studio) to track everything. Please avoid replying to the original post or posting at the bottom of the thread, as this makes it harder for everyone to follow the conversation.
Here’s what would be super helpful for us to know:
- Mouse mode (wired or wireless)
- Mouse polling rate (e.g. 1000Hz)
- Whether you’re using mouse software (like Razer Synapse)
- Where your mouse is plugged in (PC, monitor, hub, etc.)
- Keyboard model and connection type (wired/wireless)
- Keyboard polling rate
- Whether you’re using keyboard software
- Where your keyboard is plugged in
- Monitor model
- Full PC specs (CPU, GPU with driver version, RAM)
- Full Windows OS version (not just "Windows 11")
- Whether Gsync or VRR is enabled
- Full screen mode (fullscreen, borderless, windowed)
- Which platform do you play on (EA app or Steam)
- Any overlays active during play (Discord, EA app, Nvidia overlay, etc.)
- CPU and GPU usage percentages while playing
- Whether the issue improves with a framerate cap (e.g. 125 FPS)
The more details you can share, the better we can help. We know it’s a lot to ask, but this is the only way we can ensure the right information reaches the team and move things forward.
Thanks so much for your patience and for helping us out with this. We really appreciate it!

Framerate cap doesn't help with this particular issue.- AstrixAU9 days agoSeasoned Traveler
Why are you using 8k on a keyboard. That could be causing the issue. Your mouse could struggle to get updates if the keyboard is taking up resources with an 8k polling rate. Try 1000 or 2000 max on the keyboard. The game engine can barely do 60 hertz in BR. BF4 CTE use to go up to 120hz tic rate but now they had to tone it down for this game.

You just spouted a pile of nonsense. You somehow confuse FPS with tick rate. You give absolutely irrelevant advice about keyboard polling rate. Well, it doesn't matter. You clearly did not test it, even though it takes less time than writing that post. The mouse input stays choppy even with keyboard unplugged.
Don't post this unhelpful crap.

I’d try without discord or at least disable hardware acceleration in the app.
Discord could be doing some stuff in the background too. Try disabling it to start at launch first if you have it on as sometimes these apps still have background processes going after quiting them

Mouse Model - Logitech G Pro x Superlight
Mouse Mode - Wireless (wired makes no difference)
Mouse Polling Rate - 1000hz (lower polling rates make no difference)
Mouse Software - Logitech Ghub not installed (mouse set to "hardware mode") - makes no difference if I install software
Mouse plugged in - Plugged into PC/motherboard
Keyboard model - Corsair K70 TKL, wired
Keyboard Polling rate - 1000hz
Keyboard Software - Corsair iCue not installed (keyboard set to "hardware mode") - makes no difference if I install software
Keyboard plugged in - Plugged into PC/motherboard
Monitor Model - Primary monitor =Alienware AW3423DW (QD-OLED) - Second monitor = Asus 27VG278
PC Specs:
CPU - AMD 9800x3D
Motherboard - Asus x870 Plus Wifi
GPU - MSI RTX 4090 Suprim X (current driver version = 581.57 - have tried other versions with no change - this issue was present during open betas in August, when using older drivers and a nearly entirely different PC as well)
RAM - TeamGroup T-Force Delta RGB 32GB 6000 MT/s CL28 (expo enabled)
OS - Windows 11 Home, version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.7171) issue was present on 24H2.Whether Gsync or VRR is enabled - G-sync/VRR enabled in Nvidia App (g-sync enabled, v-sync on in Nvidia App) v-sync off in-game.
Full screen mode - I've use Full screen and borderless. Issue present on both.
Which platform do you play on - Playing on Steam.
Any overlays active during play - Steam and Nvidia overlay are enabled. Discord overlay = disabled.
CPU and GPU usage percentages while playing = CPU typically around 30% - 40% in firing range (50% - 60% in a conquest match) GPU typically around 75% - 85% (FPS is capped at 138 via Nvidia Reflex so GPU is not fully utilized)
Whether the issue improves with a framerate cap - Capping FPS via in-game FPS limiter specifically to 125fps does seem to temporarily fix the issue but it's not consistent and does not eliminate the problem entirely. There are moments during matches, every few minutes or so, that last for ~30s, where the issue returns and looks/feels choppy again, even if framerate is maintained at 125fps, using the in-game "advanced" FPS counter. Any framerate cap beyond 125fps looks/feels choppy the entire time.In-game settings are all maxed out, DLSS quality, Nvidia Reflex enabled, raw mouse input enabled. Changing settings has no effect.
As mentioned above. This issue was present during the betas as well, even with a nearly entirely different PC (previous PC specs: Intel 13700k, Asus z790 Hero, 32GB Corsair Dominator RAM, RTX 4090). The only components I carried over from my previous PC to my current PC are the GPU (RTX 4090), nvme drives, as well as my monitor and peripherals. Other things worth noting regarding this issue are when in a vehicle, such as a tank in third-person view, the issue does not seem to be present. It looks and feels smooth, but as soon as I exit the tank and go on foot, it's choppy again. Others have also pointed out the game seems to be incorrectly polling mice, only at ~125hz. Other common factors among users posting specs here seems to be OLEDs (maybe more noticeable due to fast pixel response times and no smearing/ghosting that LEDs tend to exhibit, which may mask the issue) and g-sync/VRR. - Cask-UK4 months agoNew Novice

- No improvement with cap of 125 and other caps. Off topic - the game will not allow me to exceed 225 fps despite capping my monitor at 237fps. The only way to achieve above 225 fps in this game is to disable VSync.

- Whether the issue improves with a framerate cap:
- EDIT: after some time using the 125 fps cap I found that while it temporarily prevents the choppy/stuttery image, the game simply starts to look choppy/stuttery after a while, regardless of the map, mode, framerate, etc. So no, I don't find it to be a definitive solution to the problem.

To make it feel much smoother download Riva Tuner Statistics Server, add the BF6.exe from the game folder to it and set a FPS cap of 138. Make sure V-Sync is off ingame and in the Nvidia Control Panel/App, make sure G-Sync is on for both Fullscreen and Windowed Mode in the Control Panel. And very important use Borderless ingame not Fullscreen because G-Sync doesn't work in Fullscreen then everything under your actual refresh rate feels choppy like hell because it doesn't kick in. Also activate Future Frame Rendering for whatever reason Reflex doesn't work, but I think the Low Latency Mode of the Nvidia Control Panel works, you can activate that in "Ultra" mode. After you done all that you should theoretically have a clean frametime, but the mouse movement won't feel much better. But it will feel better overall believe me, you should not use Fullscreen.
I AM SERIOUS PPL SHOULD NOT USE V-SYNC IT RUINS THE FRAMETIME IN THIS GAME!

Mexicola9302 AND PEOPLE SHOULD READ THE WHOLE POST CAREFULLY, THIS IS NOT A FRAMETIME ISSUE, ITS ONLY A MOUSE INPUT ISSUE/PROBLEM. Please delete your post as it might confuse devs and other people even more!!!
