im going insane, i just want to play the new season but i cant i just crash all the **bleep** time.
I uninstalled my gfx driver, installed an older one, after a bit the driver crashed and basically told me to install the newest one.
Unstalled that one and took the newest one that came 2 days ago.
Tried HDR off/on 120Hz etc everything is OFF ingame regarding Future frames etc.
The crash dump = 5 dumps from 2 day.

Thank you. Apologies for the late response. I was away for the weekend. Please let me know if these suggestions help.
- Use DDU to perform a clean reinstall of the Nvidia driver. Make sure it's a Game Ready driver.
- You have a couple of virtual displays. Disable both the Meta Virtual Monitor and USB Mobile Monitor Virtual Display temporarily.
- Your C: drive only has 7.4 GB available. Free up some space to get this over 30 GB. Closer to 50 would be ideal.
- Turn off any overlays. Discord, EA App, Steam, Nvidia, OBS/virtual camera, Voicemeeter/Voicemod, DroidCam/Iriun and Meta/Oculus services.
- Clear shader/config caches
-
- Delete:
- Documents\Battlefield 6\cache
- Documents\Battlefield 6\settings
- %LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA\DXCache
- %LOCALAPPDATA%\D3DSCache
Also, try disabling Hardware-accelerated GPU scheduling. Go to Settings > System > Display > Graphics > Default graphics settings > turn off HAGS > restart your PC.Let me know what happens.

I hope I fixed it, at least I was able to finish 2 games in row, I activated iGPU in the BIOS in order to be able to update AMD drivers, then deactivated hybrid mode in the legionspace, EA_Aljo thank you for your help

Thanks for getting the crash dump and DxDiag. Here are my latest suggestions:
- The Steam overlay is still enabled. This needs to be disabled globally and per-game. Then, fully restart Steam.
- Remove only AMD Radeon Software/UWP. This is under Settings > Apps. Do not remove any AMD chipset/PSP/3D V-Cache drivers.
- Clear caches: %LOCALAPPDATA%\NVIDIA\DXCache, %LOCALAPPDATA%\D3DSCache, Documents\Battlefield 6\cache / BF6 shader cache
- Try using the previous stable WHQL driver before 596.36. Use DDU to cleanly uninstall
If you are still crashing after this, get the C:\Windows\Minidump\050626-11515-01.dmp file and I'll analyze that. - rad1kR1 month agoRising Novice

Can you also get me your most current DxDiag?
- rad1kR1 month agoRising Novice
thank you, I did following steps you suggested:
- booted to safe mode, ddu didn't detect amd drivers, only nvidia that I removed and then installed
- disabled all overlays
- in the control panel set nvidia processor
- set -dx11 launch option
- verify the integrity of game in the steam
- removed bf6 appdata
- disabled dlss, frame gen is not even available anymore
it didn't help, only difference is that I sometimes get error that you can find in the attachment, there is also the last crash dump
do you have any other idea? I literally bought a new computer because of bf6, so I am kind of frustrated, thank you - EA_Aljo1 month ago

You don't need to make that change permanently. It's possible this is due to the new Nvidia driver you have. So, try rolling back 1 or 2 versions. You could also try the Studio driver instead of the Game Ready one.
You could try forcing 8 bit HDR as a test. In the Nvidia Control Panel, set the output color depth to 8 bit and keep HDR on.
Also, borderless instead of fullscreen might help.
Something else to try is setting the FPS cap a little below refresh. At 240Hz, set the cap to 225 - 230 DPS.
It wouldn't be bad to update the monitor firmware also.

Hey!
Before i saw this replay i disabled HDR and changed back to 120Hz, could play a whole operation with zero issues.
Maybe HDR and/or 240hz is the problem? but why now? I mean ive played with HDR @240Hz since day one with no issues. =(

Thank you. Here are my latest suggestions:
- Update your ASUS BIOS to the latest version with Intel microcode 0x12B or newer.
- In the BIOS, load Intel Default Settings/Baseline Profile. Disable ASUS MCE/AI overclocking
- Try temporarily disabling XMP and run RAM at JEDEC/default speed
- Set your monitor to 120 Hz, turn HDR off and try playing again
- Use DDU to uninstall the current Nvidia driver. Then, install a different one. Either older or a Game Ready/Studio driver.
- Disable all frame generation/upscaling tests first. DLSS Frame Gen, Reflex, overlays, Nvidia, EA App, Armoury Crate, Aura, Roccat.
- Run stability checks for OCCT CPU, OCCT BRAM, 3DMark Speedway loop and Windows Memory Diagnostic or MemTest86.
Just get back to me with the results. Thanks! - Dont_skip_OMW1 month agoNew Traveler
Ok, here we go again, the game worked last time i played, not sure if i changed anything but to day.. oh boy...
- random crash and the PC rebooted it self.
- random crash out do windows, no errors.
- random directX crash i think.
Im going nuts here.
I started to enable HDR @120Hz, seemed to work, then changed to 240Hz wich also seemed to work (this is the other day) To day ive disabled reflex and dlss etc no future frame gen etc. still these crashes.

Thank you. Your GPU is an RTX 5080, but the crash is referencing AMD Radeon software. So, there seems to be a conflict here. Can you remove any ADM software? Use DDU again to boot into Safe Mode and remove any AMD drivers. It would also be good to remove the Nvidia drivers as well. Then, reinstall only the latest Nvidia driver. Make sure you choose Custom install and check Clean installation. Install only the graphics driver and PhysX. Skip GeForce Experience for now.
Also, temporarily disable these:
- Nahimic service
- MSI Afterburner/RTSS
- Discord, Steam, Nvidia overlays
In the Nvidia Control Panel, set Preferred GPU to High-performance Nvidia processor. You can also try forcing DX11. Add the -dx11 launch option. If the crashing stops, it's related to a driver and DX12 issue.
Make sure you verify your game files as well.
Let me know what happens. Thanks!

I tried adjusting the frame generation values while playing, and I encountered a black screen that forced my computer to restart, after relaunching the game, I noticed that the only available option was FSR frame generation, even though DLSS 4.5 is activated, please tell me this isn't a bug in the game that has been known for about half a year

here is the crash dump, I am not sure if there some difference or not

You're very welcome! Just let me know how it goes. Good luck!

Ok, yes that was my plan =)
I'm very thankful for your help here, its been rather infuriating to not been able to play the game properly the last 1-2 weeks.
I'll enable them one by one and I'll report back to you on a later date. Thanks again!! - EA_Aljo1 month ago

Glad to hear that worked, but I also get how it's disappointing to have the downgraded graphics. It's possible something in the last patch caused this. So, go through these settings and enable them one at a time to see if any of them are causing the crash.
- DLSS (without Frame Gen)
- Reflex
- HDR
- Higher refresh rate
- Frame Generation
Let me know how it goes. Thanks! - Dont_skip_OMW1 month agoNew Traveler
- I think i did that. Turned everything off basically.
- I have no overlays only the ingame one (simple) I disabled that aswell.
- Done.
- Done, set it to 120Hz
- I had already done this a few hours ago.
Conclusion, this seems to work for me, I managed to play a whole round of "operations" wich i never could b4 after these crashes started.
The downside is that the game looks so much different now with all these changes. Any idea as to what caused this? I mean i ran the game perfectly fin for ever before the patch 1-2 weeks ago with my "old settings". Not sure my rig still counts as a high end rig but i shouldent have to downgrade the "grafics" to be able to play especially saince the game worked like a charm prior that patch.

Can you roll back your Nvidia driver like I mentioned previously?
- rad1kR1 month agoRising Novice
what do you mean by other steps? I mentioned that I don't have HDR and reinstall windows because of this problem, so I have fresh drivers not only for gpu, could you please do more than give some random advices I can find on the internet? thank you
