Unplug Xbox power every new time I want to play

For all of season 1, when I was done playing, I’d quit to the main menu and turn the Xbox off. When I came back to play the next day, it would tell me I’m offline, press A to reconnect and voila, back in the game. 

With season 2, that option is removed. Not even a console restart works. I have to unplug power till the Xbox light goes off, re-plug in, power up, etc. 

Any chance i can get a Reconnect button put back in?
