VoIP not working properly

I'm on PC and a Friend of mine on console. Until today we had no troubles whatsoever, but today (i know amazon went down and that probably has to do with the general server and menu issiues) it startet malfunctioning on PC. I can talk it shows the threshold for the open mic working, but i dont have the visual confirmation that i talk and my friend doesnt hear me. On his side the visual cue seems to be working. Does anyone know how to help this or is it just patience?
