Ah, the joys of dealing with stuff that doesn't work the way it is supposed to (aka, let's make this waaaay more difficult than it needs to be).
Bought my son BF1 as a gift. Download it to the trusty Xbone. Off line play works fine. Try to access Multiplayer and..... ACCESS DENIED. Sorry you are not eligible to participate in this activity.
A quick glance at the interwebs shows that we are very much not alone when it comes to this issue. My son has an EA account, which I assume is an "adult" account since it shows my birthday. No restrictions on his Xbox account at all. We've tried it on two different Xbones (he has one at his mothers house) with no change. I simply LOVE paying top dollar for a product that doesn't work.
I've read post after post of similar problems, but I've yet to see a solution. So EA, how do either 1) get the product to work correctly, or 2) get my money back as you've sold me only half a game.
@HockeyD00d32 Does your son's Xbox Live account have the required Xbox Live Gold account entitlement? Xbox Live Gold is required by Microsoft in order to play multiplayer games online.
