An unknown error occurred. Error code: 1

Question

I receive the Error code: 1 message when I try to join any match through the server browser on PC via the EA app. After the message appears, the game stops responding and I am forced to close it via Task Manager. I have been unable to play BF1 due to this issue for the past couple of years, and none of the troubleshooting recommendations or support provided by EA has resolved the issue.

Hi @MaizeManTony That error code usually signals a connection issue. You could try joining through the in-game server browser, but may need to take a look at the connection on your end.

Thanks for your reply&nbsp;@ElliotLH. Unfortunately, I have tried all of EA Help's troubleshooting steps and confirmed that the issue is not from my end of the connection. It seems like it might be related to the accounts from other platforms that are linked to my EA account, but I cannot say for sure.&nbsp;
