Anyone know if BF1 save files can carry viruses that might infect my computer?
Hello, here's the situation: my friend and I use the same Steam account, not Family Sharing. What happens is that I log in when I play, and my friend logs in when he plays. A few days ago, my friend's computer got a virus. After getting the virus, he played the single-player campaign of Battlefield 1 and uploaded his cloud save. Then, when I played, it automatically downloaded the save that had been played on my friend's virus-infected computer onto my computer. I was unaware and played the single-player campaign for a while, which means I loaded the save that had been played on my friend's computer after it got infected.
I want to know if the virus (since I don't know what specific virus it is, let's consider all types of viruses) could affect the save file and cause my computer to get infected. Please help! Below is my save file and my friend's save file. Can you help check if there's a virus? Thank you!
Do you want me to release the archive to see if it has a virus? If needed, I can send a link.
