Bad Company 2 won't let me sign in no matter what

Bad Company 2 is saying that my email and password combination are wrong no matter which combination I try. I finally went to EA games and reset my password just to be sure, then logged into the new EA app to double check that I am entering the combination correctly and that BC2 (which I have on Steam) is linked to this email, which it indeed is.

So after doing all that, I go back to BC2 which I launch through Steam, and I re-enter the same email and password combo, just to get the error message again.

What gives?

  • The issue displayed in the video is that the client is failing to connect to EA online. That's not the case for me, as I'm unable to connect, but the error is that the email and password combo is wrong.

    Strangely enough, I could log in just fine with another account that does not contain BC2 in it, but I get prompted to enter a CD key. However, I keep getting an wrong email/password error when using my other account which has BC2 in it. I can log into both accounts just fine in EA's app and on their website.

    EDIT: Solved. The BC2 login form can't process some special characters. Just change your password to remove them. Dumb, but necessary.

  • Hi, for the last few days when trying to connect to ANY SERVER i am experiencing the "Connection to the game server has been lost" error. 

    I have tried all the usual things (Reinstalled BC2, Update PB, Interval command, Repair through EA app).  

    Any suggestions?

  • Hi,

    I am unable to log in to my EA account to play Bad Company 2 multiplayer.

    When I am trying to, I get an error that I entered invalid mail password combination.

    The problem is I'm 100% sure I enter valid one. I've tried many times and failed.

    None checkboxes were checked btw.

    Have anyone experienced something similar?

    So I have to decrease my account security in order to play online? That's ridiculous.

  • Im having this issue right now as well. it would be one thing to keep hitting retry, except every time i do, it forces me to input my DLC codes no matter what, so i have to keep inputting the code only to be told theres a network error, only to hit retry and have to log in and reinput my DLC code once again, infinitely. any fix for that??
