Battlefield 1 error on start

Want to play bf1 after some days not playing and this happens...

EAAntiCheatService
The game bf1.exe exited unexpectedly, exit code: 0xC000041D

  • Do you have MSI Afterburner running in the background? Try closing it - that fixed it for me. If it still crashes, try closing every unnecessary background program and try again. Their flawed anti cheat gave me a lot of headaches in the past from game freezing and low fps to crashes.

  • Oh wow! I've been trying to fix this issue for a few hours now. It looks like it's not a problem on my end!

Yeah, you were right! I closed MSI Afterburner, and the game started without any issues… weird. I hope this gets fixed because I have a really nice undervolt setup on MSI Afterburner.

  • The cause is the RivaTuner overlay for me! If I disable only the RivaTuner that comes with MSI Afterburner, it works.
