Battlefield 1 launch error - need help

Does the game or EA Desktop require TPM 2.0 (Trusted Platform Module version 2.0) ?

It may, potentially, if it uses EA Javelin. I play on console, so I'm not 100% on which version of anti-cheat BF1 uses, but these steps should tell you, though.

• Go to the EA app.
• Choose your game.
• Select Manage, then View Properties.
• Select Browse.
• If your game uses EA Javelin Anticheat, EA Javelin Anticheat files will be visible in this folder.

Battlefield 2042 requires secure boot to be enabled. I'm not sure if Battlefield 1 also requires secure boot or not.

Windows Event Viewer might have error codes for Battlefield 1 or EA anticheat.

As I said already above, I have admin and even checked admin privs for BF1 and EA Desktop.   It's buggy outdated and unsupported software.  Now many can't run the game at all. There is no error message.

The EA Desktop launcher asks for admin privileges when launching BF1, yet I'm running everything as admin.  I triple checked admin status as you requested under Settings > Accounts and yes I'm Administrator.

This happens to me as well. It seems to be a widespread issue. 

Are you using Win 11 24H2? That seems to be causing the issue, combined with EA's abandonment of BF1.  EA should release a bugfix patch but that would mean actually supporting software they still sell, where customers want to run EA software they buy.

I have the same issue. No BF game will start and it gives me the "Please Repair" message.

Try deleting the license folder.

C:\ProgramData\Electronic Arts\EA Services\License

Create a backup of the folder just in case you need it for some unforseen reason.

If that doesn't work then create a backup of Battlefield 1 folder in Documents, then delete the Battlefield 1 folder in Documents to reset game settings to default.

Does your Windows account have administrator privileges? To determine if your Windows account has administrative privileges, navigate to Settings > Accounts > Your info. If the account is an administrator, it will be indicated under your name,

This is a widespread issue. 

This started for me after updating Win11 from 22H2 to 24H2.  Every time I try to run BF1, the EA Desktop app asks for Admin privileges, even though I have the EA Desktop AND BF1.exe set to 'run as administrator' for the .exe properties.  It then asks, every time, to activate the game. The activation closes with no error message and then EA desktop app comes to front with no error message.  

Now after about the 10th time trying to activate BF1, the activation popup no longer shows and the Splash Screen now just closes and goes right back to the EA Desktop Launcher.  Is this account now locked out from BF1 activations?  Please reset my activations.

I've installed BF1 several times in the more distant past with no problems.

I've checked and no software seems to be blocking internet for any of the services related to EA nor BF1. All is going through, including the activation executable. Checked Windows firewall. Clicked both check boxes for BF1 and 

Win11 24h2 with all Visual-C-Runtimes updated to latest. Manually ran the 2013 vcredist_x64 in the BF1 folder.

RTX 4090, AMD 9800X3D. X870 chipset mobo. 32GB RAM. Very new drivers on everything.  

Same here. THERE IS NO ERROR MESSAGE. Please escalate the issue immediately, EA_Rtas​.   This is a widespread issue. 

Your game has been abandoned by the dev team and now people are having problems launching the game. It's probably a simple issue for EA to fix, but the issue is BF1 HAS BEEN ABANDONED BY EA + DEVS. That is the problem.  It's a popular game and would be far more popular if it was supported by EA!
