Hello @PixelatedPianist,
The specs you provided are definitely no the best for Battlefield 1. On what graphics settings are you playing the game?

Your specs are entirely fine for a 8 yo game.
The new anti cheat is causing these freezes, since a month ago. No fix, and probably wont have one.
EA/Dice is trying to make people leave their older titles for 2042. Same problem is happening with bf5.
Theres a hot topic we're gathering. Head there

Wow, seriously? I mean why would they do this? I won't play the new battlefield game because it isn't fun, so what's the point. Aren't they just loosing their audience with this move?
I will head there, tnx for the info 🙂 Hope this will get fixed, absolutely love the game

The game worked fine on a weaker PC when it came out. The game works fine, I can get 60fps but I have the same issues no matter if I set everything to low without aa at 720p or at 1080p at the auto settings at medium, hbao and TAA

Have you tried reinstalling your game and updating your CPU and GPU drivers? Also, your specs listed above are not close to the recommended specs for Battlefield 1. They are closer to the minimum recommended specs.

I tried that immediately, nothing changed. The thing is, the game worked fine on the same computer years ago. It doesn't matter if I play on low settings at 720p or 1080p at medium, the same sort of stuttering and freezing happens regardless of framerate. In moments it even says 60fps on the graph and the game freezes or chugs. I see that everybody is saying this started happening after the anti cheat update. I hope this gets fixed, the game worked fine years ago...
