Same here, did you manage to get it to work? This is what I have tried so far, maybe it will help support.

I bought battlefield 1943 last week for xbox 360 but have so far been unable to play it.
The problem is that when you input EA account email and password and try to connect you get the connecting box come up with the rotating loading symbol and it never gets past this. After reading about this problem on various forums and speaking to my ISP I have so far tried the following:
Disabled firewall on my router.
Opened the following ports on my router
TCP Ports: 80, 13020, 18280, 18285
UDP Ports: 53, 3074, 11000-11030, 18285
My ISP (Virginmedia) have confirmed that they do not block those ports
Tried enabling DMZ on router
Tried wired as well as wireless connections.
I can play other EA titles online fine, eg FIFA13
What else can I try?
