Battlefield 3 Multiplayer Unreadable disk error

My son and I each have an xbox and each have BF3 pre. Both disks work fine on my xbox

On his after playing for a while we get  Unreadable disk error.  Started when he had regular BF3 we bought BF3 and problem continued.

IT IS NOT THE DISK. Don't tell me to clean it!

We have cleared the cashe

Loaded the game on the HD, removed the game from HD

Many people seem to have this issue on the internet but no one is posting and difinative solusions (only guesses)

IS there an offical fix out there?
