BF1 not saving challenge progress

This specific assignment has two parts, the first part is persistent which is get 10 kills with the mortar. Then you have get 15 kills in a round with the M1909 Benet-Mercie LMG. If you don't already have the 10 mortar kills the 15 kills in a round will reset until the entire assignment is complete. So get your 10 mortar kills then go after the 15 LMG kills in a round since the 10 mortar kills will not reset. Using this method will also let you know when you are finished since the weapon will immediately unlock as soon as you've completed the 15th kill if you've already completed the mortar kills.

Good point there, @1PatVach, but do keep in mind that those are two different things.

1. Tracking of medals  where the progress is displayed on screen.

2. Community Missions (for example Zodiac dog tags) are currently not tracked, there has been quite a lot of feedback on this one, so rest assured this is forwarded.

That is the most idiotic bug ever... The Benet Mercie Challenge should be locked until the mortar kills are done in that case. 

I hate that stupid gun. I completed the challenge FOUR times this weekend, and it kept resetting.

I'm sorry to hear about the issues that you're experiencing.

Have you tried fully Uninstalling/Reinstalling Battlefield 1 and trying these assignments again?

I have had a similar issue where it was not tracking, and this solution should help.

Also, you can try repairing the game files, and restarting Origin and your PC.
