That clean boot destroyed my whole pc. PC did not recognize my PIN code to unlock it and I had to reset everything. I did that before your last message and im still trying to configure things. I wish I never did that thing.
EDIT: Problem still exists after a big reset of OS @Carbonic Now i'm pretty sure it caused by the Origin.
I'm sorry you had such issues with the clean boot, that is not behavior that should happen if the system itself behaves properly.
A clean boot as described only disables all the things that have nothing to do with Windows. If Windows behaves weirder after a clean reboot that would indicate something is wrong with your Windows installation or your harddrive, so nothing to do with Origin.
I would advice checking your disk:
Check Hard Drive For Errors And Corrupted Files
All files can become damaged. This is just the nature of hard drives. If this affects the game, Windows or Punkbuster files this can cause errors and it's therefore a good idea to scan your hard drive. Do this for all hard drives that has Windows, Punkbuster, Origin and the game installed.
- Go to "This PC" in Windows and right click the hard drive and click "properties"
- Go to "Tools" and and press "Check"
- Click "Scan Drive" and let it scan for errors.
- If it finds errors let the program fix them
(If there are errors it could mean nothing, but it can also suggest that it might be time to format your computer and/or replace the hard drive) - Reboot your computer
- Run the scan again
- Keep repeating step 3-5 until no errors are found.
After that you should try and run the Windows System File Checker:

@Carbonic problem is still there mate. I don't know what else to do. There wasn't any problem with drive or system files. re-downloaded and installed game. And i'm kinda 100% sure its cuz of the Origin now. Everything else OK. I don't know what they've changed with last update but it affects the game somehow. I'm so sory to keep you like this. This situation is torturing me either 🙂 Thank you for all your help. If there is anything else to try im eager to hear it out unless we are gonna need some official help about that i think. ☹️

Next thing I would try would be a clean driver reinstall. You basicly remove all your Nvidia stuff, use Display Driver Uninstaller:
http://www.guru3d.com/files-details/display-driver-uninstaller-download.html
to wipe the rest of it. Then you reboot and install the latest Nvidia driver from http://www.nvidia.com/

@Carbonic tested and still have it mate. ☹️

- delete folder C:\Users\[User_name]\Documents\Battlefield 4\ (and don't change ingame video options such as "API graphics" - use DX11, and "Display mode" - use Full screen)
- run Origin as Admin, try to play...
- if problem still there, test ur RAM
- Carbonic9 years agoHero+
Weird.
Just to be sure, you have completely uninstalled and reinstalled Origin ?
- Anonymous9 years ago
@MADrag0n & @Carbonic did everything guys. No RAM errors, No OS errors, All drivers are up to date, everything else Works perfectly EXCEPT THE GAME. I'm still have a feeling its because of the Origin Updates. Is there a full list to see what exactly they've changed or add?
Thanks.

@MADrag0n Here it is mate.
EDIT: Oh and i mean I formatted the PC
- Carbonic9 years agoHero+
Can you post a new dxdiag?
- Anonymous9 years ago
Sure @Carbonic
Here:
- Carbonic9 years agoHero+
Your graphics drivers look better now 🙂
Try giving the newest Intel drivers a go:
http://www.intel.com/content/www/us/en/support/detect.html
Also, if you remove your BF4 settings by removing the settings folder ( C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\Documents\Battlefield 4\settings ) and keep running it at default settings does it then work?
- MADrag0n9 years agoLegend
Check for any overclocking (cpu, gpu, ram) and discard/disable it.
Disable/Close all this software:
NVIDIA GeForce Experience Service
ASUS Manager
ASUS Ai Charger
Microsoft Windows Defender
Microsoft Security Essentialsand like this
try to play. If problem persist, try test ur gpu/system for overheating and stability by this bench (try it without and with running Origin process); run it for 30-60 minutes minimum and note max temp, artifacts, freezes and other.

@MADrag0n @Carbonic Hello guys.
Problem WAS still there: after doing your recent suggestions. Then I've changed something in NVIDIA Control Center.
Under Battlefield4 settings there was a setting named Power Management Mode: Optimum Power [By Default]
-So i thought this might prevent the game to use required power to work properly so I changed it into Under Control of NVIDIA Driver
And i think problem is gone now. I've played on couple maps and no freezing. Of course as I said before its non-periodically and I gotta play more to make sure but at least its not freezing after 5 minutes. That's something.
Does an Origin Update can change the default driver settings of a game? Because as I told you before this is happening for the first time. Well I dont know if it was like that before, -if you can check that for me whats the setting in your control center I'd be grateful- We'll see.
ALSO: @MADrag0n I did run the test and the results are:
Without Origin: Current Temp: 68C Min:50C Max:70C
With Origin : Current Temp: 70C Min:50C Max:70C
In-game : Current Temp: 64C-68C

Good to hear. Please do tell if it keeps solving the issue 🙂
- MADrag0n9 years agoLegend
so, no freezes in a bench? good )
- check again ingame video options such as 'API graphics" - use DX11 (don't use Mantle!), and "Display mode" - use Full screen
- Anonymous9 years ago
@MADrag0n I don't know what is mantle or how to set that to DX11 -did some research but still not sure what it is. looks like its related to AMD well i have NVIDIA-
May I ask you to be more specific about that?
These are my current settings now. 50-55 FPS Also the system is able to play it at Medium settings with 24-30 FPS
EDIT: @MADrag0n alright mate found the way to check those. here is the ingame SS
- MADrag0n9 years agoLegend
Mantle its first setting in Video section. If u have nvidia, maybe u don't have this option. But u could disable it in profile file anyway.
Try to disable "Origin In Game screen" and "Origin Sync (cloud)", also close Nvidia Experience and other programs with ingame overlay.
- Anonymous9 years ago
@MADrag0n It's still happening mate. I wish there was a way to diagnose the exact problem here. It's truely frustrating. Is there someone in here WHO Works for EA? or any portal that i can make a feedback about this problem. It seems like we tried everything. We may need some official help about that. ☹️
- MADrag0n9 years agoLegend
are u continue get stuck/freeze PC in random time playing in BF4 and no one in other software/games?
- Anonymous9 years ago
@MADrag0n yeah mate. only in BF4. BF3 was fine for example. But it may be gone now. I've got some W10 Updates today -Last 4 of em I think-. I gotta make sure by playing couple times tho. Here is the list of em with dates. -Sorry for the language but the names of updates are obvious- 🙂
EDIT: Oh I see last 3 is the same, previous ones failed in installation but last one succesfuly installed today.
- MADrag0n9 years agoLegend
hmmm, I don't have this updates and bf4 work normal...
going to download this updates too )

If you look at the Windows event viewer after a freeze:
http://www.dummies.com/computers/operating-systems/windows-10/how-to-use-event-viewer-in-windows-10/
what events happen right before the freeze?
- Anonymous9 years ago
@Carbonic @MADrag0n Alright guys problem is still there but this time I can give you more info about that.
Firstly, @Carbonic I'm looking at the Event viewer now mate and there is something about that.
Game crashed at 01:07 am -local time- and here is the things that happened at the same time;
Administrative Events>
+ERRORS [1:07:32 - 1:06:53 time stamps]
App Readiness -4x-
DistributedCOM -5x-
Windows Logs > Applications >
+ INFOS [1:07:31 - 1:06:53 time stamps]
-igfxCUIService2.0.0.0 (some problem with that about loading or installation) -5x-
-winlogon -3x-
-user profile service -2x-
-winsrv -1x-
-Desktop Window Manager
Secondly: While doing ALT + TAB I've noticed something else battlelog screen in the pop-up window; at the bottom blue bar there was "TRANSITIONING" message after freezing.
Hope these help.
Best Regards.
- Carbonic9 years agoHero+
igfxCUIService2.0.0.0 is the interface to the Intel graphics card and should not be giving issues. Can you post a screenshot of the eventviewer instead? especially the details about the Intel service. It might be worth it to look into reinstalling the Intel drivers. Also making sure your laptop doesn't try to switch graphics card during the game.
- MADrag0n9 years agoLegend
u can do alt+tab? it is not a system freeze but bf4!?
run command prompt as Admin and enter a command:
for /D %T in (ACEEventLog Application Setup System)do wevtutil epl %T "%USERPROFILE%\Desktop\%T.evtx" /ow:trueThis makes a SysLogs on ur desktop *.evtx - give it to us.
