This is *. I just bought the game yesterday night. I have a nvidia GTX 960m (laptop), 16gb, i7... And I couldn't even be inside the game for 1 second! The message appear just after I want to play a multiplayer match or campaign mode. I'm very upset to see that this error isn't new at all. I think this is the last time I'll buy a EA or DICE game for PC. I just wanted to play, not spend hours and hours of my Sunday looking for a solution (that I haven't found by the way). I've tried everything and nothing.

Id, Valve, Bethesda, in moments like this I know why you are much better.

  • The "correct answer" on this thread also solved my error, below:

    DirectX function ....

    DXGI_FORMAT_R8G8B8A8_UNORM,

DXGI_SWAP_CHAIN_FLAG_ALLOW_MODE_SWITCH)" failed with DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_REMOVED ("The video card has been physically removed from the system, or a driver upgrade for the video card has occurred. The application should destroy and recreate the device. For help debugging the problem, call ID3D10DEVICE::GetDeviceRemovedReason.". GPU: "AMD Radeon R7 200 Series", Driver: 15.8 ... This error is usually caused by the graphics driver crashing; try installing the latest drivers. Also, make sure you  have a supported graphics card with at least 512MB.

I'm closing this thread to stop it from being necroed.

If you have any issues with Battlefield, please make a new topic about your problems and what kind of steps you have tried to solve them.
