Fix out of bounds
out of bounds is OP. A problem since BF3. Players that simply sit on the edge of the map near thier spawn, take pot shots, then retreat back behind the "mommy's skirt" of thier spawn. A simple fix...
That's main anti-air vehicle strategy. Retreat back to base once compromised.
It was funny idea thrown in BFF that what if we could capture the home base once all capping the flags. Could speed up the process of hopeless match rather than go for lenghts of not getting back to action. Getting faster to next round which could be better.

That one is hard to take when the mortar truck sits way oob and shells everyone. As a consolation, for some reason though the truck gets many kills, his team loses anyways.

Can't quite remember what happened but in the end of video you could see Colonel 100 capturing the enemy base after spawn trap. Sorry, it has been years since I last time watched those and can't no longer find them on YouTube.

@Teal_Pipo_Fredo That's OK, it's why I wasn't sure either. That is the episode I was thinking of 🙂. I found season's 1-3 the other day in some list actually, but they are hard to find in general. Real shame.
@Forkbeard84 That definitely was a problem. It is a consolidation that they're usually on the losing team though...unless that's your team lol.

We definitely have had many maps where the AA-vehicle driver did not even leave the spawn base, but kept camping inside the red zone boundary for the entire game. Round after round. Just spamming the button to fire active radar missiles non stop across the map. Golmud, Dawn Breaker, Hainan Resort, Lancang Dam and especially grave on the smaller Zavod map!
Many of these maps have zero cover for the aircrafts, and the spawn base's automated anti air battery fire made it near impossible to take out those pesky AA-vehicle campers in their own base...
At least the game setup could have made it impossible to actually fire any weapons at all, as long as a soldier remained within their own red zone spawn area? And by making the distance from red zone to first flag of certain length, then the ticket count down so end the match reasonable fast, if other team pushed all way back into spawn. Or should we even contemplate a surrender button, and when pressed by 75% of a team, then it restarts?
As indeed, aka 1,500 tickets remaining for spawn r*aping an enemy base for 20 minutes or more, is no fun for anybody. Not even for the winning team side. As we also see a huge drop of players after such a game for the start of next round...

Battlefield 2142 had that and I'm surprised it never saw an appearance in any game since then. That being said, it won't help game modes like Breakthrough where you can often find tanks sitting in their spawn zone shelling from afar... Though that is in part due to bad map design too.
BC2 was nice because after the first objective was capped, you could venture into the spawn and set booby traps. The best was putting C4 on a helicopter then waiting until you saw it start attacking then *BOOM* and you chuckle as the pieces rained down from the sky. Wish I could have captured the Chinook with a full load blowing up at altitude, the killfeed was full for a few seconds and the points just kept climbing.
