I had this same problem in the BF4 beta. It tells me "Game disconnected: client closed down connection." when it fails to join a server. It seems like I can join low population servers though (maybe 0-5 players). Anything above that number gives me the error. I know a lot of other people had this same problem in the beta but I never saw a good fix for it.
I play on the PC and I'm pretty sure I have all of my software updated. I've never had a network problem with any other games.
Any help would be appreciated.
Im going ot clarify my issue and see if we have any similarities.

I have verizon fios
I have my install of battlefield on a ssd.
I have an ATI card, xfx 6870.
Intel i7 940
asus ramapge formula motherboard
I can join empty or small pop. servers
I didnt have any issues with the beta but am now having them
I dont have any issues with bf3 and those ports are foward as well
i deleted any left over files from the beta, just in case but didnt work.
i tried disabling the firewall and antivirus but didnt work
reinstalled punkbuster (though i should try to update the other versions that came with bf3 or bad company 2, which ill try once im home)
if i remeber anything else, ill update it. Brain storming session guys!
