how to get a refund on premium pass

I have been trying now to get a refund on the premium pass i purchased.

the reason being that i can not play any of the DLC maps due nobody playing on them,  the only times i have been able to play is when EA have had those 2 week free play periods or i join a USA/Euro lobby at over 300 latency,  i have a latency average of 21 in the Oceania lobbies, so basicly i payed my money for something that is not accessable in my region.  A few of my Aussie mates that have payed for this pass are also in the same boat.

while i know these forums are basicly useless to get a solid answer about this issue so i am posting this to find out how many other Oceania players are having the same problem with the pass.

while im not sure if EA is aware of Australian consumer laws but put simply if you purchase something that does not meet your expectations of what the product is sold as then you are entitled to a refund!  ie i payed $69.95 for a pass that give me access to nothing as i can only play the basic game.

if someone on here can give me a number or contact for EA or DICE that would be great as i am over ringing call centers that ignore my questions

cheers

  • Hey there @AngryDAD_7503

Here is what Origin's own pages have to say about Australian returns btw: https://help.ea.com/en-au/help/origin/origin/origin-au-returns-and-cancellations/

In general, it tends to be rather difficult to get a refund on additional content like DLC rather than for the game media itself. Their own Great Game Guarantee afaik doesn't for example cover expansions, additional contents, currencies or such. Due to your location though, you may have some luck if you are able to reach EA's support line directly and explain your situation to them, referring to the Australian Consumer Law.

The number for Australian Support Hotline is 1800 894 823 according to this link: https://www.ea.com/en-au/australian-support

If you want to get to a live chat, you can use this link: https://help.ea.com/au/contact-us/

Choose Origin as your 'game or service' , PC/MAC for your platform, 'Orders' as your 'Topic' and 'Request refund' as your 'Issue'. Click the blue "Select contact option" button.

Here is a link with further information and troubleshooting advice for contacting the support: https://answers.ea.com/t5/Technical-Issues/How-to-contact-an-Advisor-via-EA-Help/td-p/5650100

I believe you can also contact them by mail from "PO Box 1547, Sydney NSW 2000" . Someone correct me on this one if I am wrong, I am basing this on an article from few years back: https://www.cnet.com/au/news/eas-origin-to-provide-refunds-to-australian-gamers/

    Good luck !

  • Sadly they are a faceless company, i got now where as i got sent in circles. worst part is with each DLC the game has gotten worse, the easter update has killed it, at time the frame drop is so bad i feel motion sickness. hope they can find the time to fix this so called AAA rated game before they attempt to put out a new tittle!

i'm voting with my feet and will not buy another DICE made game
