Good afternoon, I just bought battlefield 4 and went to play online. It is telling me I need to connect to the network and the ea servers. How do I do that?

The MTU fix works!!! I have the PS4 and I assume this will work on XBOX. Instead of messing with router on PC. I used the PS4 network configuration setting to change it. I selected LAN. I then used custom settings. I selected first option for all but the MTU which I changed to 1492. Amazingly when I ran BF4 network features were operational. WOO HOOO!!!I also live in Dallas TX. I spent 5 hours with Verizon tech support and they finally determined the router was bad.. Mind you this was the new upgraded router I just received two weeks ago. A weird thing was after all that I hooked up my old router and it worked go figure...

I am getting unable to connect to ea servers. Online features disabled. All other games work online but battlefield 4 on my ps4. This has been happening all day and i have not been able to play or look at my stats online. Anything related to battlefield 4 multiplayer online is not working on ps4. Im located in texas.

jinx your feeling is mutual with the vast majority of pc gamers.. you are not alone. I REFUSE to pay $50 for premium, which should basically be free updates to the game I already paid $60 for.. while cs:go gets FREE updates constantly and the game costs like $3 bucksthe funny thing is, after the disaster that bf4 and simcity has shown that EA wont be in their position of power for too much longer.. you cant continuously **bleep** on your consumers and not anticipate there being a fallout

guys the MTU fix works (pretty sure you can change on playstation as well)search cmd in start, right click and run as administrator, in command prompt type the following (I found 1492 value from an old EA answers thread that coincidently involved fios as well) - get we get an answer from EA as to why this became a problem over night?netsh interface ipv4 set subinterface "Local Area Connection" mtu=1492 store=persistent

I'm on xbox one and haven't been able to connect all day, just says lost connection to the ea servers.

I want some compensation! I've payed a premium for a game that crashes constantly and server that when they do let you on they boot you 5 min later. Can anybody explain what you have been doing since November??? I've had about one good week on this game and all I've got for my trouble is some xp and a pistol scope.Thanks:-/. Well worth my £100. But I think something a little more substantial is required over to you EA. Ho and xbox one is my console if this helps FIFA 14 also seems to have server trouble.
