Massive Performance drop and ping hike after last interface update

i believe recent battlefield games had an "interface update" recently, the games said that i had to download it in order to play online, so i did. while i have no issues with anything in battlefield V, i am experiencing a massive performance drop in battlefield 1, and a massive hike in ping while playing.

normally before the update, i had about 60-75 fps stable, and my ping was around 45-65, now i get stutters, my median framerate is about 20, and my ping is usually above 135, so in a logical sense, the game is unplayable.

I have a stable 1500Mbit/s download/upload internet connection and i have an ethernet cable coming to my PC, so no interference or technical issues related to that, and no connection issues in Battlefield V for comparison.

I have the FPS limited to 60 in-game, i also tried tuning every single setting down to the lowest minimum/off alongside the resoution scaling, but it made zero difference in performance gain, it still lags around 20fps and constantly stutters with the sound also cutting off.

i have played the game since mid 2018 with none of these issues, on the same PC with exact same specs, these numbers are coming from the same PC with same specs as it was in 2018 minus a RAM upgrade.

looking forward to any support. thanks in advance.

  • Hi ,

are you using a hisense tv for monitor.

If so, make sure you upgrade the firmware. its in, the

    system settings on tv.

AND make sure in  Microsoft windows the transparency is off.

its in the display, colors section.

also  check if there is any windows updates, if so,

    update, then restart computer.

I had same problem, not as bad.

Hi again, the interface update, are you talking about

the origin, or the new EA app?

because you have to use the EA app now.

@Sham756 the interface update the BF1 seem to had a while ago, BFV also had that. Normally the start of the title screen had the copyright year of 2023, it reverted back to 2016 and 2018 on both games respectively after that, to the release date. That is after i started having issues with Battlefield 1.
