India has so many Pc gamers who log onto battlfield everyday. The numbers are in the 1000's. Yet there are no indian servers to play on making us play on foreign servers. EVEN NORTH KOREA HAS TWO! When will we get one setup? Or will we ever!
We need servers in India itself. There this ' http://battlelog.battlefield.com:80/bf3/servers/show/pc/08626495-3398-4560-81c6-c6c108cd708e/Host-Engine-com-Servers-from-3/ [battlelog.battlefield.com] ' server for BF3 with the Indian flag under it, but if you filter your search, you'd find this server is in the European group. We can play on Singapore, China, Hongkong Servers, they give decent ping (40-120 ms), but thats dependent on your ISP and also where you live in India. I was living in Bangalore and had used Reliance, Airtel & ACT Broadband. Reliance had the worst ping & ACT the best. I got transferred from Bangalore and now am settling in North-East India. Here, the internet market is captured by BSNL. There is no Airtel, Reliance, ACT, Hathway nor any other Broadband here (3G & 4G exists though) & believe me BSNL BF4 & BF3 players have it worst. The ping from here to Singapore Servers is around 80-150 ms on good days ( i.e. less rainfall, fair weather) but around 400-700 ms on bad days and where the server is located. It does not matter what your Broadband speed is. In order to get decent ping, it matters how your PC is routed to your nearest server, lets say Singapore servers or EU servers. What I'm trying to say is that if your ISP, lets say Airtel, has a direct fiber link to a EU telecom operator, say Vodafone, via private contractors, and this particular server you are connecting to uses Vodafone, then you'd have low ping, but if its connected via satellite, you'd have a different, maybe bad ping. In India, the DADDY of all operators is BSNL. All other operators, one way or another, use DADDY's resources to connect to each other. BSNL has Optical Fiber links to different parts of India and hence Reliance Mumbai connects to Reliance Delhi via one of DADDY's links & Reliance pays BSNL to keep this link. Another counterpart of BSNL is PGCIL.
I had read that some of our Indian pals got a chance to meet up with the devs and EA reps. They said no company in India is willing to meet with the criteria EA has set regarding server renting. So if we find a company in India willing to meet with the criteria EA has set, & uses BSNL as ISP, then we would have no problem getting good ping server(s). Similarly if we find a company in India willing to meet with the criteria EA has set, & uses any Indian operator as ISP, or EA has a tie up with any of these operators, we need not play on Singapore servers.
Or, the Battlefield community in India can get together, create a company, meet with the criteria EA has set regarding server renting, use a proper ISP (taking into consideration the players from different parts of the country), and start hosting BF3 & BF4 servers.
I bought EG DLC for BF3 & China Rising DLC for BF4, but I hardly see any servers running them, and the servers that do run them, I get kicked out because I have high ping. We are all gamers of different trades, age, communities, etc, but we love Battlefield. Its so frustrating to spend your hard earned money on a game and not being able to play it because there is no service.
Maybe if EA changed its criteria, we would have our servers. I know EA/DICE listens to its customers. This is evident from the upcoming free DLCs & Community map for BF4. Maybe EA/DICE you can listen to this too. I see this as longevity for the game and increase in player base.

EA is super happy to take your money for the game but when it comes to providing you stable servers to play on,...you are not considered, at all.
What is worse about EA doing this is regionless players are forced to play on servers out of region with your high latency and ruin the online play for every in region player. So, basically NO ONE gets to enjoy the game the way it should be played.
EA needs to stop doing these kind of greedy underhanded tactics they have been getting away with for years. Unfortunately, the only way EA will learn their lesson is if we stop giving them our money.
No one should by the next BF title until some promises are made about providing more server locations and putting ping filters in place. If these requests the community have been making for years are not met, NO ONE should give EA their money.

Works Perfectly. Still in Open Beta. Too few servers though. Wonder if we can have this in India.
